  1. G'day @BangaBob Another Aussie on Kitelife. Big Welcom Mate!
  2. I've seen a vented version in a picture on FB somewhere. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  3. I've got a few Revs without frames too. When I spoke to Jayne about a Pheonix Full Sail I wanted it as a frameless deal. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  4. Can get them without a frame or with one as far as I know. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  5. Far be it from me to stop a sale but what have you tried to make it a bit more manageable? Less brake. Shorten last kites' bottom train lines. Great colour scheme! Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  6. Great thing about new pilots, fresh eyes. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  7. Green rods with an EXP, that is a score! EXP's come with relabelled 3 wrap frames and are very tough. Ditto on what JB said about urban brake settings. On my Full Sail I use for urban I connect on the last knot on top and vary the bottom if I let someone have a go. Generally in an urban setting you are on short lines, 30 feet. There is "moderately" less wind at that height. I use a 2-black race-2 with 2's for the verts and haven't snapped one yet. Touch wood. It has had its fare share of gusts but you can scoot to the edges quickly. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  8. If you ran a seam over them do you think that would help? Only adding the weight of the thread. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  9. I have a PoloVTD, Wasn't finished as well as I expected for the price. Had to wait 6 months, without any information from either party, for it as it was during "a world wide Icarex shortage"... However, it is a high wind demon! I've pushed it into the 70+ km/h and still only on a 3 frame. Different feel. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  10. My lines don't get snagged much, playing field maintained grass is pretty darn good. However, my kids will pounce and grab my kite if it comes within reach... Got a clasp type mount for my iPhone to go on my gorilla pod so I'm all set now. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  11. Not sure about seasoned, more weathered... ;-) I'm SOR in Kelmscott. I fly in the rushing dirty air that comes down the escarpment. Where do you call home? And more importantly, home field? Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app Edit: just used a "web view" to see your in Perth, a fellow Sandgroper!
  12. Another Aussie here on Kitelife!!! G'day@PoppyPaulo Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  13. Will do. Probably do ALL my revs in one hit to mitigate the postage. Will be in September as I've got a kite fest end of August. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  14. I'll be taking you up on this. Get my kites all ready for summer. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  15. Makes it a little bit "more special". I'll treasure it well........ When I win it!
  16. Just supplementing JB's info, The Pheonix Pro is made by Bazzer and is essentially the next step in the evolution of Revs. It's in a more limited scheme of colours but from all reports is a little sweeter to fly! B to a B Pro, The difference is say, a factory made kite verses a hand finished one. Simple but it's is a bit more than that.
  17. My Seven will launch into a fade from ground. It needs careful tending as the winds close to the ground are a little variable... When popping off the ground into a fade, yes there was some big arm movements. And steps too. I haven't tried it with my Sevens but the Gemini has the extra mass from having essentially 3 spines! Glad to hear how you are doing.
  18. Bump... Plenty of time to get on this and subscribe. Although, I do believe this bird is headed W-A-Y south.... Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  19. Stacks don't like much brake. Check that the bottom 2 train lines to the last/back kite are shorter than the others. Helps to keep them all "tight". Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  20. Welcome Josh. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  21. Now that I'm on a real computer I can see you're from Cairns. And that is definitely "Far North Queensland". A big G'DAY Mike. Actually, I think we have chatted over on the Rev forum. Rob.
  22. It's all good in the hood. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  23. Is the FNQ for Far North Queensland? Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  24. Yes, the EXP frame will definitely fit a Pheonix Pro sail. All the 1.5 sized frames are interchangeable with all the 1.5 sails. The EXP frame is a 3 wrap. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  25. Has the artist been confirmed yet? Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
