  1. Just a note: You can make your own leaders by threading 100lb Dacron with 80lb Spectre core with a tapestry needle (round tip). Great tip from kite maker! Loop on one end and knot on the other. Goes without saying the should be the same length. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  2. I think once you hit a certain post count the "title" changes. You can even edit it at some stage... Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  3. For $500 you could get both! I'll pm you some Aussie kite shops, won't post it here as they aren't a forum sponsor. This will ensure you can get it before Christmas. Post this time of year can be killer slow. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  4. Stop the press! DONT BUY ANYTHING just yet. I have some that you can try first. Entry level; Jammin by sky dog at under $200. Inter to Experienced; I have some Temptations at 7 foot wingspan. I have some Sevens at 8 foot wingspan. I even have a two line foil to play with. We can sort something out. However, if you are busting to buy something a capable trainer at a budget price is the Jammin. I'm at work currently so I'll check back with more. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  5. Perth, Australia hey! G'day to a fellow Sandgroper. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  6. Couldn't hurt to ask Tim for a group discount. I wouldn't ask a kite maker for a discount as you pay for the blood, sweat, tears and heartache in the development of their products. Tim builds top shelf stuff and I would be happy with a favourable exchange rate. But then if you are buying bulk you never do know. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  7. I would say, No. I've experienced less snags and wraps when using them. The extra mass drops down when slack is given. The chance of them being flung outward is pretty much impossible due to the "plane" at which they function and that they are "Omni-flexible". They are being held at one end by the flying line so the force to throw them out is contained at one end. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  8. Congrats. And great offering. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  9. Is that the on that has a "pocket" that inflates to prevent over flying? Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  10. The Delta I have at the moment has a fixed tow point. A triangle of material that runs along the spine so I can't adjust that. I've loaded it up with tails, laundry but I don't want to push it past its limit. My Rok could be adjusted BUT that would put a lot of stress on the kite. I don't want to cut vents in them. As a desperate alternative, I'd get a 4 foot rok and tea-bag it. Just thought there might be commercial kites out there. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  11. Ok, I have been spending a lot of time in 30km/h (20mp/h) winds and actually said to myself "should I risk my delta, nah it's too windy for it". So my question is; What are, if any, suitable SLK's for winds that high? I've seen a vented rokkaku but can't seem to find it again that may be commercially available but that has been it. Think it was a Jordan kite and Kent for KAPing in high winds. I know the Singapore kite club Wind Hunter has a "weave" rok that also looks capable. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  12. One of the most versatile full sail kites. With magic sticks on mine, the 2 frame was good from 0 (true zero!) to 20 miles an hour. Whoever wins this will be VERY happy. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  13. By "newer version" do you still mean a Nik Nak? I have an iNak if that might help? Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  14. I think that's a bit of "paste" left over from a B Series draw. But still good to state. ;-) Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
