Distracted is the only way I can say it...
I set it up with some small plastic rod larksed to the bridle. Measured and tied so they were even, 100mm or 4". I ran through 2 scenarios of flight. With the spine vertical, a little bit more bow in the bottom cross spa. With the spine horizontal, with the bow even side to side.
Should dust it off, got a little bit of free time. Hmmm...

Thanks for the offer. Saving for a kite at the moment that is going to be part of a suite. I really do prefer the old 1's.

Most rev pilots are very generous with their advice, time and gear. Don't be shy just go up and ask a pilot.

A Rev 1 is like the 1.5's big brother. 9 feet wide. It's slower and more precise. Would be good to learn on.

A slight green colour where it shouldn't be. At the start of the thread, the rod had some green colouring at the edge of the label. Slightly green colouring.

Some rod sets have been produced recently that have a Green Tinge in the labels. They have a different flex to an earlier produced rod of the same type.

Really surprised that the 3 wraps have been affected. I always assumed the "black magic" was applied to the race and diamond rods.
To anyone that has found different flex, is the new amount of flex the same across the set you got? Or do differently rods within the frame set flex at different rates? This, to me, is a bit of a concern.

Yes, larks head onto the screw head. The bottoms on your B2 handles are this way. Slide the rubber boot down and take a peak.

So, to be clear, new diamond rods are MORE flexible than the old ones? I didn't think carbon rods could get stiffer after use.

I find that any extra "bits" on the bottom connection points tend to catch. I get quite animated sometimes when I fly though.
If you want, shorten your bottom leaders by half and and that length to the tops. Generally most have quite long top leaders compared to the bottom.

In the vein of the Shook weaves. The lots of small holes not only relieved the wind pressure to go higher BUT created drag to help stay up at the lower end. Strange but really cool.

Also search for "tea bag rev"
Put safe search on though otherwise you'll get a few unsavoury pictures.
Mega vent rev works too.
I am going to tea bag the front EXP of my 2 stack. One day.

Edit:
One thing I remember is that lots of smaller holes work better than one big one. It has to do with the turbulence created as the air passes through the hole.
Your hands will also correct the minor differences tour eyes see. That is, if your not going straight enough you'll automatically adjust.
It's lots of fun!!!
