  1. Gorna linka powinna byc najmniej cztery razy dluzsza niz dolna gdy puszczasz Revolution-styl latawiec.
  2. I would say the Widow is more trickable, but you are duplicating a large portion of the wind range in which you can already fly. I would go for expanding my wind range with a UL or SUL so I don't end up sitting around wondering about it instead of flying. The wind in your area should be fairly similar to the typical "Midwest" winds we have where I live, and expanding your wind range will give you at least 10 additional days you can fly each year. Unless you want to limit your time flying so you don't piss off a significant other I would opt for expansion. Increasing the upper range is pointless as most of the time you will simply be trying desperately not to crash when the kite is dragging you around.
  3. Yes. A loose edge will flutter, whether it's the leading or trailing edge. The leading edge must be either tautly stretched or otherwise stiffened to avoid this. The span of cloth between the tabs also affects how easily it will flutter. The shorter the distance between them the less chance of flutter. Sail harmonics will also come into play at some speed, but that's a different subject. Search New York Minute flutter or NYM flutter on this forum if you want to know more.
  4. I have one and mine doesn't. I bought it when they first came out. Some buzz, some don't and so far I don't think anyone has figured out why. I have flown other people's from the IKE club and none of them buzzed. It might be worth finding one that does just to have it. Other than that, it's a full-sail Rev. I think it was only the full-sail that buzzed, not the vented ones, but I don't recall.
  5. ProDancer SUL by Skyburner Kites will fly in a fart and is quite trickable. It still won't do anything about the Midwest's winds and will not help with gusts and direction changes, but when it's only a breeze this puppy will fly. It's not as robust or durable as the Quantum but that's what you must compromise to fly in light wind. It can't get off the ground if it's armored.
  6. Hi, Johnny, and welcome to the forum.
  7. It's about an hour and one-half drive from Beloit, about the same as I would travel from where I live. It is a well-attended fest, with many thousands of people, so get there as early as possible to get decent parking if you drive. You could ask if any of the Rev pilots have any they would care to sell. Most pilots have more than they need. If you see Colleen Baker, aka Jynx, while you're there tell her Mark says hello and mentioned that she may have more kites than she needs -- hint, hint. Have fun, smile and don't forget to breathe.
  8. Welcome to the forum. Frank Mots International Kite Festival will be held at Veteran's Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this weekend, September 7th and 8th, 2019. There are always Rev flyers at this festival. If you can join them, do so. There is no charge to attend. The festival starts at 11:00 am both days, but I recommend getting there before 9:00 am if you want to park close to the action. I won't be there this year for health reasons.
  9. Dark then. Pops better.
  10. Hi, Eric, and welcome to the forum. You'll adjust to flying with heavy brake. Although it can be adjusted out, most experienced flyers opt for more brake because it gives them more control, especially in variable wind and gusts. It also makes certain tricks easier. You'll get used to it and even like it if you give it a chance. It is also what allows you to fly in very light and zero wind conditions, because it allows you to fully load the sail (pressurize) with less effort. Most importantly, though, have fun, smile and don't forget to breathe.
  11. Another thing an adjustable or removable weight does is change performance characteristics for competition flying. Tail weight in for tracking and precision routines, out to make the kite less stable for tricking routines.
  12. Also, a kite can be weighted anywhere along the spine to change stability and other performance features.
