Good (Foil) Lifter for Beginner/Intermediate
T in WI replied to greenehouse's topic in Beginner Questions
Unless you have your mind set on a Foil type of a lifter, I would consider looking at a Premier Powersled 36. They are easy to handle and can lift medium sized laundry without issues. I have not had a problem lifting two 33ft spinsocks with one in 10-12mph winds. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app -
I have heard at least one of the TKL boys calling the Nexus their Flappy Kite and he flys it just for the pure fun of that, being Flappy especially in higher winds. Not much of a dual guy yet so won’t toss any other input than that but, figure out what you want out of a dual and reach out to the folks in here. There’s a lot of great flyers that will help you narrow down your search Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app

3D Printing For Kite Making and Customization
T in WI replied to SegelFlieger's topic in Adjustments and Modifications
Really like the possibilities that could be achieved with 3D printing! I can say that initial start up price is what has me gun shy. Definitely a topic to follow for me! Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app -
Thanks guys!! This makes a lot more sense now. I was about to re-tie the bungees, glad I asked first. As always you guys rock!! Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app

Looking for confirmation.... I won a used Supersonic on our club raffle last weekend and finally got around to assembling it to check out the overall condition. The way the bungees are on the leading edge end caps for the 4 verticals makes me think the previous owner flew it with the spars in front of the sail. I would have assumed that they should be behind the sail like a 1.5 model. I just have never seen an actual SS before so I guess anything is possible. Before I start retying the bungees could someone verify the Supersonic is the same as a 1.5 with the spars behind the sail?? Thanks Tim Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app

Masterpiece Build-off Bayless Revolution
T in WI replied to T in WI's topic in Kites for Sale, Swap or Trade
Previously mentioned staining was easily removed with a little warm water and dawn dish soap. Will consider offer or $50 less without frame. -
I haven’t had any problems with the style of end caps on the Phoenix. I used both a Revolution 2 wrap frame and Sky Shark P100s with no issues. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app

Masterpiece Build-off Bayless Revolution

Price drop to $400 Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app -
Up for sale is the “back-up” or 2nd sail that was made for the 2012 Build-off challenge. Forgive me for not finding the link about the history of this challenge. Anyone who knows of it please feel free to correct me. In 2012 there was a Designers challenge created to showcase the work of notable builders. Each chosen builder made 2 sails for the event. One of the sails went up on an online auction and the second sail I think went to Ben D at Revolution. This is the 2nd or back-up sail which Kevin Bayless created for that event. I purchased this quad used about 2 years ago and have only flown it once. It’s has been flown by the previous owner and is in good condition. There is a couple of small stains from the paint that was used which transferred from being rolled up in the bag and stored. These stains were there when I purchased the kite and I have not seen any additional transferring since I have owned it. Framed in Rev 3 wrap. No lines or handles included. $400 includes USPS Priority shipping. Continental US only Prefer F to F PayPal but willing to discuss other payment options. Nice Find! It looks like it could be an older Parafoil in possibly 15 size. Measurements would indicate 14 square feet but I don’t know if they named any as a 14. A fuzzy tail will help with stability. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app

Sorry to keep this post somewhat sidetracked But.... are you saying you feel the full vent has been flown in capable hands in low enough winds to cover the mid to high end of a traditional midvent and also higher than traditional full vents of the past???
