Hi all, finally making our way into the Carolinas! :)

There is rumor of a gathering and possible clinic around Ft Macon NC on Aug 9-10, but it gives us a whopping EIGHT DAYS to kill before then and only 1-1/2 states to cover... Anyone on the SC or NC coast keen to hook up, possibly have a guest bedroom for a couple of road weary kite nuts?

Give a holler - hoping for a connection! ;)

What's this rumor about Ft. Macon? Enjoy Lake Waccamaw. I worked down there in a former life, both on and under the water. Beautiful place and so peaceful.

That was one good looking bowl o' shrimp you had for dinner back at lake.

If anyone is on the fence about attending any JB clinic, just do it........................I promise, he won't bite!

Man! Look at the size of those beaches. Jealous beyond words.

Although, I'm glad I don't have to run for my life when a hurricane comes. All of the outer banks are sandbars aren't they?

Most of the beach along the Southern Outer Banks is not that large. Our usual flying beach on the point at Fort Macon is probably the largest and best place to fly.

Arrived in Kill Devil Hills (Outer Banks), open for private lessons some days this week and thinking about doing a casual clinic over the weekend on Jockey's Ridge if there is enough interest... Anyone keen to connect? :)

My son and I were heading to visit Ft. Macon during our vacation down in Emerald Isle, NC when we noticed a few Revs flying in formation over on the beach. Headed over to watch and talk to the folks flying and lo and behold, there's John Barresi! Chatted with him for a few minutes and some of the other guys and gal there. Super nice folks all around. John let me fly his vented Rev for a few minutes, it was my first time flying a vented....wow, SUPER smooth! I've got one of Eliot Shook's 100% mesh Revs waiting on me in Corolla, I'm hoping it's as smooth feeling as this one was. Going by to pick it up Tuesday or Wednesday.

I'll be over on Jockey's Ridge hopefully Wednesday and/or Thursday, weather permitting. Got to go back to work starting Friday though. :(

Enjoyed meeting you at Ft. Macon Saturday John, hope to see you again. Will you be back in the area for the AKA Nationals?

Sorry, not planning to be at AKA this year... We'll likely still be on our way home around that time.

But like I said, we're right by Jockey's Ridge all week - just send me a message if you want to connect for lessons. ;)

Hey John, What are you doing up on my "flight deck" ? :ani_victory:

Really sorry that I missed you, but just couldn't work it out. I'll be standing right there, in just a couple of weeks :ani_wallbash:

Happy travels my friend !
