riffclown Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 Here's the HQ Bolero 9 Stack Bag that I made from the bags the kites came in. There's also a Youtube video of the setup as I would unpack in the field.. 2 Quote
RobB Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 Nice idea... Especially because you had 9 spare bags laying around! Quote

szobelda Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 Looks very impressive. Since I have never seen a stack in real life, can you do any tricks with it?Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk Quote
makatakam Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 With that stack just landing is a trick. 2 Quote
riffclown Posted September 10, 2016 Author Report Posted September 10, 2016 With a stack this size, a few things become important. It doesn't like to hover. You kind of have to keep it going forward otherwise the stacks starts to waver a bit. You also have to plan ahead.. Try to turn too quickly and the length of the stack ripples down and you might just go tumbling. Like the childhood game of crack the whip. I love flying this stack as it was actually a childhood dream to fly a stack of kites. I've yet to remember to record it while Chris Shultz of HQ Kites is flying it. I always catch myself standing there in awe as he flies. . It truly comes alive in his hands. I've never seen his equal with a stack.. Quote
riffclown Posted September 10, 2016 Author Report Posted September 10, 2016 Much smaller stack and kites but Quote
riffclown Posted September 17, 2016 Author Report Posted September 17, 2016 My Rev and Freilein stacks are only 3 kites so i tend to roll those up leaving the stack lines in place. That may change as I add additional kites.. Quote
