Aye, welcome - great to chat on the phone today. Can't wait to work with your boys, they're already doing so well!

All moot if new buyers can't get past the line management hurdle - if that's not a front and center resource, it's almost a wasted effort.

Designed by Mr Steve LaPorte, who is also a renowned Hollywood make up artist (Terminator, Lost, etc, etc) and really super nice guy - flew in competition and saw him at festivals during the early and mid 90s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_La_Porte http://www.facemaker.com/Steve_LaPorte/Home.html

That. Is. Awesome. My favorite wildlife encounter was flying my dual line (a Shiva by Cavalier du Ciel) in Taiwan super early in the morning and a large eagle of some kind started tracking my kite... He never swooped or anything, but we hit a kind of vibe with my kite nearly straight overhead, the two of us just gliding back and forth together for about 10 minutes.

This workshop is specifically tailored for first time, beginner and intermediate Rev fliers who want to grow their skills and try their hand at team flying - if you're able to launch, hold a basic upright hover for a few seconds, fly a little left, a little a right and back down to the ground (land), you're ready for this class! Saturday morning is a group presentation, full 101 roundtable on the ins and outs of quad equipment and related theory, this covers a metric ton of stuff that even the "pros" think they know. From there, we usually go through the fundamentals of clean launching, landing and control methods, then on to rotating one on one instruction on fundamentals, building up to fun and forgiving exercises for quad team flying - if this is your first clinic, please be ON TIME for the Quad 101 at 10am on Saturday morning. Sunday will focus primarily on remedial and "level up" exercises with everyone, and start in much earlier on fundamental team flying. Although instruction will be given on any length lines, fliers MUST bring 120 ft lines to participate in team flying as it requires everyone to be on matching length lines. Registration is $175 for two full days of learning (discounted to $150 for KiteLife Subscribers), schedule is 10a-4pm on both Saturday and Sunday. KiteLife subscriptions - http://join.kitelife.com/ Event registration: LB Quad Clinic: Beg-Exp (Jul 23-24, 2016) Flying location - https://goo.gl/maps/jzCAx1WesYQ2 (the Sunsations festival is also happening on the same weekend, so we'll likely be flying near the Sid Snyder approach instead of Bolstad) Fliers bring their own equipment, and we do generally break for lunch in the middle of the day (a packed lunch makes for lovely midday conversation and relaxation) - please DO bring some rain gear in case we get sprinkled on, as well as UV protection and plenty of water. Before then, I strongly encourage you to browse these FREE video tutorials for some pre-workshop study... If you need any equipment prior to the event, we encourage you to check out our long time NW supporter The Kite Shoppe for a full variety of kites and parts. RSVP so far: Dylan N. Cardin N. @Raynel Hunt @Ashley Ragland @inthecloud @audit23 Hope to see more of you there!

After watching levels 1 and 2, its hard not to notice that they appear to have made up all their own terminology for things and completely ignored (or never taken the time to learn) what everyone else in the world already calls things.

Tomorrow by my clock here in the US, hang in there.

Just a related update for posterity... https://www.facebook.com/groups/155150467832504/permalink/1316209721726567/ As far as I know, Bazzer will NOT be making any more B Pros and I haven't heard anything directly from Rev about alternative plans on their end but *I have* heard from customers who have been told by Rev they they're researching another "masterpiece kite maker" to do the work. I've asked for an opportunity to lay my hands on a sample for approval before they produce it - just being a great kite maker isn't enough, the Pro was built and rebuilt based on the knowledge that only comes with thousands of hours of hard core flight time with iQuad. Fingers crossed.
-
We're both paying it forward.
-
Thanks a lot Kevin, that's it... I want to share the experience however I can. I'll make a mental note about equipment set up and do what I can to accommodate you in my future projects.

Awesome first day.

Right on, glad you got it sorted - was ready to adjust it for you manually if needed, all good.

Hi Bill - best bet is probably to go into your forum settings, assign a password (useful to have for backup anyway) and then log into TapaTalk using that password and your user name (Bill Clay). http://kitelife.com/forum/settings/ Please let me know if it gives you any problems.

Hi all, Saw this post on Revolution Kites' Facebook page today and wanted to include it here, both as another resource for quad fliers and for general critique on the Club 38 curriculum. Your thoughts on the program?
