  1. Aye, makes sense. This sounds like the right idea... My main thought was better saturation (coverage?) of the dudes, and more 3D. Cool. Yep... 1/Blue = John Barresi 2/Teal = Steve de Rooy 3/Purple = Todd Rudolph 4/Rasp = Carl Bragiel 5/Red = Egan Davis 6/Orange = Justin Redington 7/Yellow = JD Fabich 8/Green = David Hathaway Curious, do you have InkBurrow and/or OrangeLET as fonts? If not, can they be used if I send them to you?
  2. John, think perpetual motion. You're already a good light wind flier... Now, for indoor, keep your hands in front of your chest instead of pulling down past your hips.
  3. If you can step on a dance floor and shake it without a plan, you can fly the same... I LOVE mystery ballet, because it forces me to open up to the music and let it move me. I generally get all the new soundtracks that come from action/thriller/adventure movies, and listen close to whatever I might have on (CD, radio). Sometimes, there will be a song I've heard 1000's of times, then one day... I finally understand a way to fly with it, something clicks.
  4. Nope, not too much yet... (love ya Don) I like the latest sample better, for obvious reasons. Just out of curiosity, what would happen if the dudes were filled with the turning satin also, running horizontal only... Would it be raised more, same as the letters and kite? I know it would use a lot more thread, but am wondering if it would look even better (I don't know). Also, one more for ya... Would it be a huge pain to do each jacket with a different colored kite? We have our shirts and sweats done that way, reason for asking.
  5. Dimensions are right... This is the same equipment used to make the NWSKL blue duffels, yes? If so, we might thicken the outlines (both colored dudes and in the text) for a bolder look. I notice the NWSKL logo is a lower-profile, almost hatched layer as opposed to the higher profile and more traditional loop-over-loop-over-loop style. Seems to me this would be more durable (hatched) than the older style, do you find this to be true?
  6. Thanks Leigh... It should be said that I give up a certain degree of consistancy without having a game plan, and it takes a lot more something (right mood, for example) in order to choregraph and plan your way through a routine while it's happening.
  7. Wow... Super cool Don. Yes, white bodies and text on a dark background... Our outer shells of our jackets are black, and the inner shells are a medium/dark grey. What is the largest area of embroidery you're equipped to handle? I'm thinking our logo would be 10"-12" wide on the back, below the hood line.
  8. Don, sent two AI files. I know you guys have an embroidery machine... How many colors can it handle? Could it handle a Colombia jacket? We've got a bunch of brand new jackets and liners that need the embroidery... Big logo on back with white body and color outlines, small logo on front with white body and color outlines, plus team member's name.
  9. You'll want a sleeving kit Leigh... I think Monks will hook you up. It's cheap, easy, and can extend the life of your lines... As long as the break isn't right in the middle, cuz then you'd have two really short sets.
  10. Heh, I'm not much use on this one... I make up every routine I fly, as I go. In all my years of flying, if I'd had to do the same routine more than a dozen times... I'd have gotten sick of it. So, I make it all up... 100% soul flying.
  11. Cough syrup... Coffin stopped... *weak chuckle*

  13. Thanks to all of you for sending in your ideas... They were all great, and I'm sorry we had to choose just one. We've finally selected a winner (see the attached image from kite-head)! We've whipped up a few different versions, depending on the application... Some have a colored outline on the dudes, some are just B&W... Also, the color of the Rev in the Q will vary, depending on where or how the logo is being used. So Chris, let me know your sizes as well as what color kites, what name and what special title you want on your shirt. I'll confirm, and get them shipped out to you. Also, the next two times your subscription bills through PayPal... Remind me, and I'll refund it immediately. Of course, I'll need a proper shipping name and address by email, please.
  14. It's easier than you might think Anthony. To fly team... 1} Practice hovering stationary in any orientation 2} Practice speed control (not too fast, not too slow) 3} Practice reverse flight We generally have a rookie or two when we do our mega flies, and have all the patience in the world... Team flying tends to teach you quickly anyway.
  15. Crowd went freaking nuts on the long one... WOW! Yeah, the whole team had an awesome time.
  16. Sounds like the start for a good article.

    yay!

    Congrats Wen, well done.
  19. OH MAN... That was SO much fun!
  20. Those are the ones we like... It has a "slide" switch. Some others we got had a push button switch, and they tend to turn on/off in storage whenever they get bumped or squeezed... Same thing when you put 'em in your pocket.
  21. Go for it Anthony, been waiting to put your name on the list. http://www.kitelifers.com
  22. They're about $2 (a pair?) at Walgreens.
  23. Aha, thanks for the heads up... Yep, you're a subscriber. Thanks Ray. The forum "thingy" is one of the few things I have to do manually, and it does get overlooked from time to time. I know you weren't worried about it, but I feel better knowing it's updated.
  24. Nope, just an over-sized fan.
  25. I win! LOL Sure going to enjoy flying my new Gallego... Just kidding!
