  1. I can scan anything you sketch or otherwise draw, which would be crucial... With appropriate text, it could be a real masterpiece... Even done in segments, over 2-3 issues if it proves to better suit your vision.
  2. May the kite force be with you for the next one.
  3. Anytime.
  4. It was my pleasure Charly, and Al has nothing but love for you.
  5. Yes Jorge, at the bottom of the videos page there are several links... MIB - MIP -MTB - etc... If you click into the category you want, the files names are listed in a folder... Just right click on the one you want, right click and "save target as". Let me know if you have any difficulty!
  6. Seriously though, do a search on penny lingenfelter kite on any of the major search engines... Her name comes up a lot... But try and find a contact for her! Suppose I was a rich French festival organizer that heard about her and wanted to make an invitation overseas? I would be SOL... Kitelife helps me in this area quite a bit, plus it gives a place for the "fans" (hecklers in my case) a place to go and get the latest news.
  7. I actually don't have anything special, just a standard bag... But carrying so many Revs, spare rods, 1 rebar and a banner pole, I just distribute them throughout the bag and have NEVER had anything broken in 10+ years of regular air travel with my kites. As for locking devices, I go with the old stand by... Wire ties (also known as zip ties). The baggage handlers will sometimes want to take a look inside, especially on international trips... So, I go with what they use... They just cut 'em off, and put more on when they're done... I figure the less irritated they are, the better off I am.
  8. Yes Rick! If you'd be game for putting together a basic cody plan and instructions, that would be an asset to both Kitelife and our readers... Go for it!
  9. We're pleased to announce the next prize being given away to our most appreciated supporters, the Kitelife Subscribers... For roughly 10 cents per day they play a major role in keeping KL growing in every way. 3 metre Radsail power foil package from Eolo, thanks to Windzup! You can sign up on the home page. Odds of winning for this prize is currently 1/49, and will be drawn on July 10th! http://www.kitelife.com/prizes/radsail37/index.htm Our thanks, and the very best to you!
  10. These days, I don't even try to bring the kites onboard... Just too many frightened security people with no common sense, not worth dealing with. So, I always check my carefully packed and reinforced kite bag with baggage from the start... If I'm traveling with it full-length (no broken down leading edges) and they give you crap about it being oversize, wanting to charge extra, etc... Bear this in mind: Tell them it's sports equipment! I haven't run into an airline yet that doesn't have that clause built in for surfboards, skis, golf clubs, etc... And even to the point of asking for a manager above some ignorant desk clerk, it has never failed me when all is said and done. Grrrr...
  11. And the winners are... 12' Inflatable Tako - From Gomberg Kites Willy Hendrickson Authentic Indian Fighters - From One World Kites Rodney Wickenheiser A huge thanks to all of you for being a part of Kitelife, and helping to make us better and better through your contributions! Our next drawing will include a power foil package from Windzup, and will be announced in further detail in the next couple of days.
  12. We'll try and rally up some contributors, if you have some candidates in mind... Please let them know we welcome all.
  13. Yeah, it was my first visit to that event in my 14 years of flying... Really enjoyed it, and it on my calendar for next year!
  14. Geez, Scott and Bill are hard core... We all just got back from the Westport Festival... Welcome back guys, glad to see you made it safely.
  15. I'm off to Westport WA for a kite festival over the weekend, my first time to this one personally... I look forward to it, hope to see you there!
  16. Hehehe... Seems like no two of them are alike as well, from the looks of it. Kind of awkward to break down though, I'd imagine.
  17. Here's a better pic of the Flame, for anyone who is interested... http://www.kitelife.com/photos/displayimage.php?pos=-43

  20. These guys are tons of help... NOT! (Cmatlack, please be patient)
  21. Howdy, I don't know about the kite... Certainly one of our other members should come up some info before long, but I do know there is a kite club in Northwestern Ohio that should have more information about kite events and clubs in your area... The Black Swamp Air Force. Find their web site here... http://www.bsaf.org/ Your also take a look at the American Kiteflier's Association... http://aka.kite.org/ Specifically, here is their list of clubs in your region (includes a few states)... http://www.aka.kite.org/?cgi-bin/resource_...i?region=5#club Hope this helps,
  22. Is there a registration fee for Mystery Ballet?

  24. FYI - Expect to see our "Kitelife PhotoFiles" available in the next week or so. Storage will be somewhat limited for regular users, but official Kitelife Subscribers will have 100MB to play with... And upgrades will also be available.
