in 70's i use cambric for rectangular and diamonds kites but before to cut the fabric i rub it with beeswax and heat to be impermeable. about cambric cloth check this. http://www.typesofclothingfabrics.com/cambric.shtml for sure the modern cambric is not the same like 1920's just because of manufacturing way. a good source of cambric are cotton bed sheet with a high tread count but i think better is to use silk. square inch by square inch silk is having less weight and is more wind resistant. cambric is better if you will make big kites (3" and bigger) for higher winds any way if you will use cambric or silk by mi experience is good to put the spare on diagonal of threads to have equal stretch of fabric. good luck

i assume JB will agree to extend this another couple of days. to make the harma more appealing i will keep the original Rev1 frame desired by Paul and already trow in 2 wrap frame for EXP, 1.5, B-series and B-series Pro. P.S. FYI Paul i use a 2 wraps frame on Zen and that is open a bigger wind range.if usually at 3-4 MPH Zen is to much under stress with original frame, 2 wraps is let you fly without to much pull til 7-8 MPH

there are Shy Shark II late generation. I buy then from kites & fun things couple months ago for a Rev 1 stack. Are the rods used by Jon Trennepohl and Carl Robertshaw for the new Fulcrum Quad kite exactly how JB assumed. if the problem is dimension at 2 wraps meaning 36' for Rev 1 i will change the frame to 32' for a EXP,1.5,B-series,B-series Pro

try to connect with flyers from your area, make time to go at festivals to see live movements feeling the wind on the same time.more experienced flyers will direct you and show you ways of do things without reserve. flying alone is not a competition with videos or demos you see at one point must be a pleasure and an ambition to achieve what you see on them without to damage the kite. accidents happen but try to do not cause them

nice,you catch some moves IMO you have led hands (analogy to led feet from driving). at couple of launches you give to the kite at least 150-200 LBS long input moving your hands from front to back extremely fast. on top of that with the kite on the ground you also pull hard the lines for recovery and put the kite in launch position like you do not care about the kite. look like abusing the kite and this is on to a day with a light to medium breeze when Quantum is not have any chance to fight back.remember is a kite for 3 MPH and is starting to feel good and react in 5 MPH in hard winds all the hard inputs you give will find at the end of the lines a powerful big kite trying to obey but also resist to you and that almost for sure is the problem with the T connection. be gentle, kite is your partner, think is a woman,be firm but gentile on the same time.after the kite is up and have some speed and is flying you may be more aggressive on the inputs because is having the space to react on all directions. is mi opinion from what i see in this last video,is not a criticize to your stile,is just mi opinion.i am a mach more soft with mi kites

check if that tube in connection is glued or you may moved in/out hard. if you may move that you are OK if not on hard winds the frame is on danger

i found this if is helping Ref: Vivitar "906" "wearable" camera 906 Item has ZERO IMAGE STABILIZATION. Slightest movement blurs video. Overall video quality is horrendous. Didn't bother testing photo capability, because bad video makes this camera an immediate return item, and that has been accomplished. There is a similiar Vivitar "936" with WIFI which has been discontinued.

the frame is a SLE 4 wraps LE and 4 wraps spars.

I thought at the stress on spars and you are right Wayne. now seeing black on white seams to be a bad idea especially do the big surface of the kite.
