  1. the Rev frame is not working in Reflex kite. because of end caps and length
  2. fast is great but control is everything. without breaks control you will not stop the kite and hitting something at 45-50 MPH especially if is a living been will be devastating. you develop the same speed with configuration i give you the only difference is will be harder to launch with leading edge up. will require not just that arms pull you will need at the beginning a big step back in one continuous motion. you will realize how much control of the kite you have without loosing any or adrenaline rush speed you like. better to be safe then sorry
  3. first and most important the bridle. Replace the Mojo bridle with a Rev one. will be with 3 inch bigger at leading edge and with 1 inch at the spars. you may adjust that making new knots when you pass the bridle by end caps. next will be to use Rev handles. 13" and 15" will be good how long you have 3 knots on the bottom and at least 5 knots on top.bottom leader should be around 3" long and top around 7" mounted on the handle last will be lines. buy quality laser or skybond lines or if you have experience stretch the line provided by Mojo follow by equalization. Most of the time Dyneema lines are not pre-stretched. i am sure using just one of this three suggestions you will feel improvement in control
  4. nice fly but from what i see on your video you do not use figure 8 winding,is not a mistake but you add more wraps to the winder. the lines seams to be Laser or Laser Pro. I do not like them especially because are SEAMS to be tangling at winding end unwinding by STICK to each other.Yes they stick and create the sensation of tangling. i will recommend you especially if you are tempted to buy a new set of lines for 120x100# SkyBond ,i am sure you will love them and your tangling problem will be solved on your handles are not JB leaders, from the angle of the kite at min 6,13 and line connection to handles at min 6,47 you have to many knots IN. try to the bottoms to go on the first knot and to the tops at the second. If the kite is not launching go to the top on the third knot. how other told you you will gain more control of the breaks after lunch. keep it up !
  5. with some adjustments Mojo may be improved and will fly similar to Rev. i will fly that classic Reflex in 2 ways, with springs loaded and without springs on the same session to see how i feel the kite better and in witch configuration i am more happy
  6. i will go on eBay ore other kite sites and i will buy a Rev 1,5 old model,Rev B ore Pro(1.5 are a lot on eBay) i am not happy with Reflex flying in low and high winds ((is ok between 3 and 6)and for that i will do not chose any reflex models. how already other stated i will probably buy a classic and a regular frame or take of the springs (if you opt for a brand new). if you are a beginner you will break the leading edge,if you fly in high wins most of the time you break a spar. a good option for reserve spars is one with ferules and one without. in this way you cover anything you may break.be careful thou, depending the kite model you may have a spar with 2 ferules or two spars with a single one(at least this is what i received on mi 3 wrap frame full vent)
  7. i rise up a rainbow sled some times and i find out something interesting but logic. recommendation lines depend by the puling force and the break point of kite frame so... if they say 250 to be on safe side i will go with 300#. 500# will be to much drag on lower winds and also will make you confident to fly in higher winds then recommendation witch is not good for frame. a loose kite witch break the line is less dangerous then one falling down without frame. on both cases will be some loss but at least the provoked damages are different .IMO
  8. i have tried to cover one vent to a full with ripstop 31 but just Velcro with tape is not working. Velcro is moving a bit when you fly and the trail of glue is collecting all kind of derbies from sand to small pieces of wood.to clean them is a nightmare. the best way is the Velcro to be sewing to the sail.i do not know about the tape you speak but tape must to be strong enough to keep the patch on place and if is easy to apply at the fly site that will be a good starting point. for sure you will buy soon a mid to.will follow other no doubt
  9. you may try also http://www.extremekites.com.au/forum/6-buy-sell/
  10. now all the advises are good depending of your skills. If you have the skills then mid-vent is ok till the wind is hard enough before to break the frame, lines ore to overpower your movement in controlling the kite. all are finally depending by the wind and gusts you want to use in specifically fly sessions and do not forget about that crazy rare days when you will need a Rev II ore extra-vent
  11. yes i buy it new . Mi bad i forget to close the add. Thank you
  12. i already speak with Scott. great guy,Thank you again but the gear is having is WAYYYYY of my budget. i have confirmation of what i need

  14. i will like to start kite-surfing and for this i need the full equipment. a 20 to 25 M kite, 140 X 45 cm board, XL harness, bar and lines. Let see what is happening Thank you thank you all especially to Deke Haid and wish me luck. i will need it
  15. find out this hours ago searching for kite-surfing bars. standard seams to be 1000 Lbs for tops and 800 Lbs for steering but most of the time all lines are 1000 Lbs at least depending by brand and equipped bar. On your case you may check the thickness of the lines, at 1.8 mm (0.0708661 inch) diameter are 1000 Lbs
  16. I'm in. i hate when people are so...."withdrawn".
