  1. a quad for sure, framed or parafoil (to collect water)
  2. send mi a bucket of sun,in Midwest is a real bad winter.I promise to send you back a cup of -20 Fahrenheit to keep you cool
  3. yep, are Kevin kites. they are here from almost a week in US but still unprocessed in international mail.
  4. around Christmas i will receive last acquisitions, 3 B-Pro from Australia. A standard ,a mid vent and an extra vent in yellow, gray, black. somebody stop me !!!
  5. using that picture like reference the sweet point is at close to < 90 degree at launch position. at 90 degree the kite is not launch that means the top and bottom lines are equals
  6. longer top leaders decrease leading edge angle. advanced flyers name " the sweet point " that combinations of top and bottom knots where the kite is having the lowest leading edge angle close to 0. in that situation top and bottom lines are almost equals on launch position ( thumb up ) angle of attack is between ground and perpendicular to sky like L shape where you have 0 for attach angle on the long line. this position on launch make you to give less breaks input for kite in flying and is help you to fly in reverse much easier
  7. that is great ! a lot of practice and experimenting with the lines at different knots will give you that sweet point where you are comfortable with controls.
  8. you are right, keep the brain busy listening music and transform everything in muscle mechanics. i am sure that fatigue ( on mi case) is just because you work the muscle not because you think the movements. repetition is the mother of every new skill and the way to maintained.
  9. agree with ACrop . 120 or at least 80 are the best for beginners (like us). walk of shame is longer but the chances to keep the kite on the sky are also higher. use for learning the best lines you may find, that will give you the exact response of the kite to your inputs letting you to understand where are the mistakes and have the chance to correct them before to crash. a friend of mine told me two important things in learning curve 1- do not think how long you fly !!! let the hands to do the job mechanically. in this way you will create reflexes and muscle memory of movements. if you record the fly session start to think what must to be improved or change in your living room reviewing the fly 2 - do not fight with the wind !!! most of the time before to create the muscle memory you will make mistakes putting the kite on to a different position then you want, take that position and continue from there. that will make the fly to be like what you want to do give to wieners (if they are) sensation of a good exercised routine and to you the chance to have a new starting point for a different move or to restart without to have frustrations of mistake.
  10. good to know,i will try to make more adjustments and if i will not be happy the kite will become a relay fancy tail for a sled i have or will be converted to single line. thank you all
  11. i just received a quad 3 meters foil and after some fly test i have some problems. The kite is having 21 tow points at 3 rows for upper edge and 8 for break (check the picture) 1 - at sharp turns the foil is tending to pack the inside turn side 2 - on revers fly is tending again to pack from top edge i add some pigtail on some of tow points from upper edge and that improve the flight but is not enough. any ideas ?
  12. "Not sure if anyone has warned you but one turns into many rather quickly " That is very trough,i started in June and now i have all Revolution models in standard and vented.
  13. don't be so excited about Windy City winds, you will be bluffed how hard is to fly here
  14. i tough at Phoenix and i consider to be an option but i do not know if they are re-branded B series Pro or 1.5 updated
  15. almost all, 1 Rev 1, 1 Rev 1 vented, 2 Rev's 1.5 standard and full vent, 1 Zen,1 Rev 2, 2 Rev 1.5 B-series and the Chinese supersonic that means 9 and i want another B-serie Pro and 3 for a stack and i am done,at least theoretically .
  16. i find golf club hard shell to be perfect for traveling and you may pack in everything what is under 50 inch long. i have this model http://www.ebay.com/itm/WALTER-HAGEN-GOLF-CLUBS-52-034-HARD-TRAVEL-CASE-W-WHEELS-/311735241890?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=voC2MeQ%2FrR93QRLCSZ9RBStv3%2FA%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc you may use this for your clothes on top of kites and accessories you take on travel like a regular luggage with "Samsonite" proprieties
  17. you need to understand kites and fly conditions to rise a kite. all your questions are may be resumed in to a single one, ok two. HOW BIG and HOW MUCH WILL COST the kite to rise in low wind with all the equipment you want to put on.
  18. thank you all, i have now 2 B-series one made in 2012 (whit/black/lemon) never flow and Revolution will sow a brand new Night Colors this week
  19. interested to buy B-series and B-series Pro. Thank you
  20. in size is no difference. difference is in sail material and the major difference is in sowing panels making B series to be more efficient. here is one of some stores offering frames(i prefer this one) http://www.awindofchange.com/category/rev-parts.html
