I must have missed something here. I always thought that all bridle line, had a Dacron sleeve, over an un-braided core ? I've never used anything but "Laser Pro", bridle line, in various colors, of course............ Is there anything else ?

Oh, and I still like those Shook kite's. He makes them in different degrees of venting (ie... 50% or 75%, etc). Best thing to do, to get the real facts, is to call Flying Smiles Kites, in Corolla, NC, and speak with Eliot (just google them). Eliot can fill you in on exactly what he does, and how, and what is comparable to a regular mid-vent Rev, vs a full vent............... Just a suggestion !

Hey Rob, Sounds like you better learn how to make your own bridles............I love to make them out of two different colors. I use one color for the long horizontal piece, and a contrasting color for the two vertical sections............

Because when I first flew his Zero G I got string burn. I wasn't used to pulling in and letting out line. 10-4 !

Hey Scott, I'll vote for the Emong, if it makes you feel better. Did I mention "cabin fever" & "rain"..................? When is it going to be summer. I know, I know, come on down here and enjoy the 90F+ and humidity...............sheesh! -

Definitely won't be as twitchy. I also found that with the standard sail, when the wind would get up to around 8 - 10+, I'd have a tendency to get a wing tip "flip". Never seems to happen with the full vent. Full vent is just a smoother ride, all around, and it especially smooths out the gusty wind.......... My favorite wind speed is in the 8 - 10 range......... Sail - Frame/Rods Standard - Black Race Rods Mid-Vent - 3 wrap Full-Vent - 4 wrap

Hey Barton, Even "zooming around" goes better, with a better kite. I'm kinda in that same category, when it comes to dual lines, but I prefer to call myself a "cruiser". I simply love to stand in the surf, and buzz the wave tops, chase the sea gulls, and just, as you say, "zoom around", whether it be dual line, or quad line.............. . Everyone can't be a JB, you know, but we can all have fun.
