  1. Awwww how cute. I miss Mrytle Beach, too. BB Penny
  2. Careful, careful. You don't want to O.D. on Rev.'s. One new one a month to a quarter should hold you over. If you have to skip buying one during a quarter, maybe you should look into a tiny fix. Like a first aid kit, an extra spar, few caps, bundgee. Something you can play with indoors if you can't get out. That will make you feel good all over. Cause you know your ready! okay? breath...... BB Penny
  3. You have the advantage of being a guy. It's harder to crash on people's floors when your female. Chickens. BB Penny
  4. Aiyana Good morning! Dirty wind. So, like indoor you have to keep the kites going. Moving, so they are not dead weight in dead air pockets. Nano seconds count here. Check out when it happens and see if that's not it. Keeping it going, forward is easiest because the leading edge makes a good clean cut through the air. If you want a clean reverse with the back kite kept under control, be more agressive in your movements to get past that whirlwind change of wind... kinda like stirring a bowl of liquid, and when you change direction with the spoon the pretty design it makes showing the resistance. So really moving the reverse, faster stronger, will help keep that back kite in space. Be stonger then the wind, and remember your stronger then that kite Now that explanation and advise is in mommy kitefler laymen terms. How do you explain the resistance in proper terms? What is your new color? You didnt say. Talk to you soon. Have a good one!! BB Penny
  5. It's horrid when you can't be there all week. We are going to miss so much You have to work on the weekend too? Heehheee I always just camp in my van... uh leaky van. .. so while your praying for wind... pray for dry skies, too. Best Breezes, and good night... going to go dress shopping tomorrow... I'm matron of honor at a kite wedding! To kewl! Penny
  6. Heheh That's why it's important to put your favorite color in front. That's where we need to get some pictures taken from, too. Right under the pilot. I'd love to get some indoor stack pics taken from there, too. BB Penny
  7. Rick, I'm just as confused as you. Maybe more so. Underleaf? Is Rick T.? And Eagle azure is that you Steve O? They probably won't tell us. They like it when were confused. It all sounds good. Except for the missing Brookings part. That's to bad. John's 1st WSIKF Tell Doc I said hello. But I should warn you John......... If Doc meets a blonde, or a red head... or well, a woman.... he may forget about the event till it blows over. We were ready to call his parents one year when he was coming up to a fun fly.... and disappeared off the face of the earth for about a week! I just knew it was a blonde.... but if memory serves me.. it was a red head..... Ask him about it on the road trip. It's a bit of an interesting story. And you might learn something. Your going to have a fun trip! BB Penny
  8. I didn't mean to ignore you Rick. But Beer I'm allergic to the hops. I kinda likem rum & coke. I hadn't heard about the parties yet. I'll miss the parties during the week. WSIKF has the potluck/auction on Sat. <_< Usually we skip the food.... with reason. and show up late for the auction, unless we have family with us. hehehe then we have an excuse to miss it. Wanna adopt me? BB Penny
  9. I get in Fri. night for the weekend only. Darn waist of a good week. Kinda makes me blue. BB Penny
  10. None of my rev. 1.5's are SUL, but I fly them inside and out. Let's not tell my kites though. I think it would give them a complex. BB Penny
  11. you bad! You know you'll have to try my kites inside Rick? BB Penny
  12. Hello, A Rev Indoor for quad, and a Wren for dual. I like the wren fighter for beginner indoor flyers, too. You have a rev. EXP? If you have long throw, or ultra light handles, you can start on about 12 ft. of line and try indoor flying. It's not a piece of cake to learn, but every time you go back it's easier. I know a few people who fly EXP'sinside. Good luck with all, it's so much fun. A bit of practice is required, but it's so worth it. Enjoy whatever you get! BB Penny
  13. John, I just read your post. Missed it earlier. It would read, "Lingenfelter fly's a camera off her head while she flys two kites at once." No third hand. That's what you call using your head. Email me about Brookings. Steve & I have different desires on schedule. You better send me your's an Moon's vote. Have a good time at the Competition. Tell everyone hello. BB Penny
  14. That's a ture sign of my kites abuse. My SS is not getting enough fly time. I haven't even had to tighten the bundgee. Poor poor kite. BB Penny
  15. Kewl.. that's how we came up with Rev. II"s Leading edge lock. You can lock top to bottoms, too. In a following lock and my favorite 18 ft. across with Rev. 1's in a leading tip lock. Pretty~ BB Penny
  16. only on hte weekend. I'm going to miss the indoor. To bad we can't have a little Sat. night. BB Penny
  17. only if you mention small world.. and my friends.. and they never heard of AKA. It's important to realize there are many fliers out there who hadn't heard of the benifits of AKA. I was shocked with disbelief at first. BB Penny
  18. Here is a web page where a couple were on their honeymoon and ran into these two young men. They happen to be nephews of a friend of mine here in WA. It's such a small world. To cute! Check it out. John, it might make a good article. The boys had never heard of the AKA last we checked. Yet they have good competitions with big sponsorships inspite of no aka affiliation. (I've seen the video) Rumor has it they may be coming to CA for a comp in July. (?) Look out guys! Check these two out. Just to cute! And some serious tako kichi http://homepage.mac.com/stuphoto/bliss/PhotoAlbum74.html Best Breezes, Penny
  19. Yup tighten them up. Then indoor, loose can be good for tricks. on the 1.5's. BB Penny
  20. Yes, I'll be there. And we have indoor Rick! After the fly on Sat. we will have dinner at the school instead of Gombergs, and have indoor fly time. I'm looking forward to it. So you better have a cody (and bell?) ready. hey, white is all good. Craft master paint and you can paint on any color cow spots you want. Mooo... be there or be square............. That's the bossy coming out in me. BB Penny
  21. You two crack me up. ok.. a costume... I'm into costumes you know..lol it would be cooler then a heavy cow costume... but how about some overalls and a straw hat. I'm not sure I want to wear a bell. A whole new version of farmer in the dell? I just committed to a festival in Clallam Bay.. Just about as far n.w. in WA as you can go. There are two other wonderful events going on that weekend, but I was offered seafood, and stinging nettle omelot. For indoor and outdoor flying. (see I'm still on topic) It's those little adventures that win me over. Carl I'm going to be checking it out for a kite festival and a winter indoor. It sounds like a perfect place for one and the town would be perfect for raising their own kite flyers indoor and out. I'm excited about it. See you at Lincoln city! BB Penny still glowing from the fun at San Ramon.. and no that's not sunburn.
  22. Hey, what do I need a bell around my neck for? My friends do tell me to just "moo" cause I'm so bossy, but how could I sneak up on them with a bell around my neck. loose the bell-Rick. <_< Watch your back Rick... we'll be sticking a sign on you that says "try me-fly me" If your bridled right we could fly you, ya know. Though I'm sure we'd have to push you off a cliff to get the right wind. A high cliff. Really, a light weight cody on line at the end of a banner pole would work I think. I saw Curtis's airbow (?) on the convention dvd. Awesome. I tried it and it was extremely tiring on the forearm, but he showed that with practice it is almost effortless. Impressive looking. There's a rumor Sedgwick and Rev. are coming out with a similiar style. I hope so. I want more indoor toys to play with. BB Penny
  23. Elizabeth is not on the forum. Her Rev. is a Revolution dated 1989. I've been offered several Neos Omega's.... but what good are they? Their art now, not a kite to use daily. I'm a kite flyer not an art collector. Lovely kites, just not for me. BB Penny
  24. ooohhhhh aaaahhh! Brings a whole new meaning to rainbow stacki! Beautiful! I'd be stoked too. BB Penny
  25. Hey lady, I will call this weekend. Try putting the brake lines directly thru the cap instead of the pigtails on the back one. That's a quick look see to see if it's any different. Let us know. Grandson's b-day, nieces graduation party.. when will I find time to fly this weekend? Be good, be happy, if not happy..... stay sassy! keewl new faces, huh? BB Penny
