Hmm, it's hard to answer factory questions. I try not to bother Lolly to much. The laser pro gold would be good enough you wouldn't have lag, so having a stronger line would all be good in my mind. SUl, No less then 75 lb. I prefer Laser Pro gold 90lb myself. Most quad flyers will use 90lb area inside, too. Wonderful stuff. I better get to work! BB Penny

Why embarressed? It's just quiet in here sometimes. We've been waiting for your post. Yes, the SS series can do axels, and launch from a dead launch. And who knows what ever wonders it can do. Last Sat. Aiyana was flying her Super Sonic, and it was time to go. So I walked over to where she was flying. She yanked on her handles and it came floating down while we were visiting. I figure it was on some where between 75-100 ft. We looked up and it was still floating towards us, and there was wind! I walked up about 10-12 ft. and laid my arms out and it gently floated into my arms. I tell you Rev's and I have some kind of love going on! I almost walked a 360 on 100ft. of line at Moses lake. There were a few quick steps in there, but it was the easiest 360 I'd ever done. Sometimes you jerk on long lines and catch it fine, sometimes the wind takes it back. Don't listen to any of us, try everything you can, you may be able to do something that the best out there will tell you is impossible. have a great day! BB Penny

I wish I knew the answer to that. So far the indoor have worked fine. That's pretty good, cause we have to have something "Penny proof" around here or it just doesn't make it. The Super Blast handles are longer, then the indoor, then the SUL's, then Rev. I, and last Rev II. If they have something else I haven't needed it. BB Penny

I know, I know it's so frustrating not having enough time to do all the flying I would like to do. BB Penny

Aiyana, you don't fool me a bit! You're telling them all to get vented rev II's. so you can buy those solid colored rev II's for your stack.. Hey, they were pretty kewl even in that funky light wind. I would have thought you'd never get them up. Let me know when Diane or Tony post pictures of them on the BCKA web site. oh yeah, Where was Tony? I was looking forward to flying with him again. Tell him I said hello, and I'm sorry I missed him. Tks again for a wonderful weekend lady. I had a great time visiting you and all those BC flyers. BB Penny

Crescent City, Cal Labor Day Festival Canceled
Penny Lingenfelter replied to Eagleazure's topic in Open Topic
What a shame Debbie. As a new festival it drew quite a crowed and was growing each year. What a beautiful spot for a festival it is. Thank you for having me down, I'll miss playing with everyone down there. I wonder if festival's like Brookings experienced a similar type of problem when they started. I'm looking forward to seeing the Wind Chasers at Brookings, and hopefully Betty will keep sending out their photo albums. You all chase some of that wind up here to WSKIF in August. Thanks again for all you, Larry and the Wind Chasers did to put on a wonderful picture. And that's no Bol! Best Breezes, Penny -
Thanks Brian for letting us know. We'll miss Larry.. someone we just tookfor granite to show up and fly. Does Sharon have her own email? Give her our love and tell her we're thinking of her. BB Penny

Hi windofchange, We are very glad to have you here. Thanks for the info. You know we could probably go to the rev site, but it's not near as much fun as visiting in here. Talk lots, share your opinion, thoughts, ideas, experiences, and tell your friends. We are looking for more people in here from the east coast too. I like the info you gave on meter comparisons. And then some day we'll probably meet you. It's such a small world. Rev on! BB Penny

lucky you ~ $20. Sorry I can't help answer that. I'll keep my ears and eyes open for the answer though. BB Penny

Fly and they will come. Lucky you to be in a state with wonderful weather. Enjoy! BB Penny

Woo Hoo It's Friday. I'm packed, even though Steven won't close my suitcase for me. he said something about I'll find other things to put into it before I leave? I don't know what he's talking about. I had to stand on it to close it last night.... hmm and it's open now, so maybe he has a point. Is Lisa coming Carl? oooh oooh and Sam and Ann Houston are coming! Yeah.. And hopefully John and Lynn Matteson.. I am so excited! BB Penny -
I'm waiting.. Do you have a question yet? BB Penny

We're all so sorry to hear about Larry. Last summer we heard the bad news, but you always hope for the best. Larry did have a wonderful kiting spirit, and was an extrememly nice man. Our prayers are with him and Sharon both. Please let Sharon know we want to see her at the kite festivals if she's up to it. BB Penny

It took me a while before I could find a computer that could view it. Great video. Now is there sound, or do I keep looking for a video with speakers. I like the young man's indoor rev. flying from Germany. Nice style. Scott Davis said he was going to try and get a dvd of WA indoor to John. Lets get some indoor Hot Tricks on here! BB Penny

For those of you in Western WA who can't make it to the Spring Fling at Ocean Shores, come out to the Moses Lake KIte Festival Bill Walton @ Moses Lake Floral is the organizer. It's at the high school which is right off the freeway exit! So its easy to get to. Sat. and Sunday, May 1st and 2nd. That's this weekend! Last year we stopped on the way home to eat and right in the medium (large medium) of freeway were several kite flyers. They hadn't even heard there was a kite festival going on. They would have liked to have been there as much as we would like to have them. There are several large fields, so plenty of room for everyone to fly. Call your friends over there and pass the word! We want all the color in the sky we can get! BB Penny

Kewl, or you can borrow one if your in the area. Santigo in Colombia, S.A. was going on a similiar nik. but I saw your Miami Bio and knew you weren't him. I don't seem to be getting all the colors darkened that tell me there's a new article or reply.. Pilot error, probably. I just read your reply for the first time today. Chances are I started to look at it and had to stop to do something else. John, I couldn't see the people in the pic, and took a guess. I hope your talking about Sue's cancer in the past tense! I hate to talk about something so personal here, but I hope my thinking is correct! Keep looking up, BB Penny

You know what, I need to take my shockwave out. I don't mean to sell it short, and your speaking of it not bowing reminds me how much fun it is in good wind. I just like to fly forever without wearing myself out, but I can put a kite down.. I can.. really.. I mean...there's bathroom breaks, right? I've got to buggy with my superblast, but meanwhile I LOVE it in 3-6 mph ballets. Big and expressive! BB Penny

Who would I rather teach? I don't think it matters any more. In the beginning I would have rather taught a newbie, but now a dual flyer is fine with the way I give lessons. Their fear that they will have difficultys is unfounded. Once in a while I'll call... "oh, that's a two string thing".. but I haven't had to slap a dual flyer in about 2 years. I might just be getting soft, huh? Now a power flyer in light wind is another story. I find a few of them that need the pull of a kite in order not to overcontrol it and pull it out of the sky. A vented Rev.two for a power kiter can be challenging even in the highest winds. Put up a bigger kite, and they are more comfortable. That's a generalization by the way....... not true of all power kiters. BB Penny

Yup, their own personality and their own wind range. That Rev. II will have a higher wind range then the sle or speed series. And personality! Why I have one rev... every time I'd fly with a group of people and turned my back for just a second... that kite would dash all around like a mad insect.. causing havoc.. macrame.. and when I looked at it why it would just behave like nothing happened.. But I could tell.. the other rev's looked beat up and confused! That misbehaving kite! And I'm sure my other kites were watching. Whenever I turn my back on them, they try to misbehave too.... But I'm on to them. Those kites! BB Penny

Hi Traveller, You've got the right idea, keep those SUL's safe from hi wind. We had a fun fly yesterday and the wind gave me the opportunity to fly 3 rev's. I didn't have SUL with me. I sent them to Jerry Fincher -Fincher's Aireforce, to paint on Thursday. So I had an indoor, on about 12 ft. a 1.5 standard on 90 ft. , and the Superblast up on about 75 ft. The wind was here again gone again flyable wind, so I was travelling from one kite to the other. Wind die-indoor. Wind light- 1.5 and just a little stronger and the Super Blast was the kite of the moment. NOt enough to buggy, but enough to do ballet with. Everyone there had a chance to fly all sorts of kites in "those" winds. I had a few people try my kites, but only a select few try the indoor. Even small breezes make that kite bow and if a gust had come thru it would have been easily breakable. I want to avoid that. Last week it was blowing in the high teens at the ocean. A pair of 1.5's was dragging me down the beach. I flew my 1.5 Rev, and blew the bottom tip out. To much wind, but I'm bad about flying my favorite kites outside. Now it's being repaired and refreshed even as I write. I'm excited I gave Jerry a 1.5 to paint along the lines of a butterfly, along with a Rev II and said "surprise me". But it was hard to be at the fun fly without them. <_< I knew someone who went by Traveller in the past. I'm going to go read your bio to see who you are. Thanks for the input. BB Penny

Kewl, And is that Sam and Ann Ritter peeking through there? They're so far away and Sam looks so little in that pic. it could be the Sedgwicks. BB Me

Is an "I told you so" appropriate here? Aiyana is down visiting and my poor husband is going to be a kite widow. We're going to the PCKA's club fun fly in Orting, WA. Luvin it! BB Penny

I"ve always seen stacks smallest in front. But if the name waco's apply, I'd love to see them try it differently and post a pic. We're waiting. I'm a lazy kind of kite flyer and fly with only 4 lines sometimes, but 6 or 7 is better. BB Penny

I wouldn't know where to get old stuff. (?) Someone this weekend was asking if the video had info, like the adjustments, how to avoid the most commonly made mistakes, etc. Nope.... not yet. BB Penny
