  1. Confirmed - and we actually has a couple of new (non-subscriber) forum registrations just for the Karma drawings... Share away! Thanks all!
  2. A couple of thoughts... One, a "catalog" product is pretty accessible, and many folks may already own it, or it may be a step down for their kite bag (said in the nicest possible way). Two, there is something to be said for *sharing the link around* via Facebook, etc, so new folks see it... Other than the auto-post on KiteLife's page, I'm not sure fliers are sharing it directly with their buddies. No stress, no fault, just dynamics at work.
  3. It is what it is, as long as we don't try to control it, and let the members here define it from drawing to drawing, all is well. Good, open communication like this helps it along though. SO proud of all our forum folks, the friendliest around by far!
  4. Did you have a chance to hang out and get a little face time? Lot of good folks there, and they're usually keen to share their experience. Hope to get back to the UK for a show again sometime soon, been too long (Portsmouth/Bristol '08).
  5. iTrix (pronounced "it-tricks"). http://www.drachenkiste.de/en/143-ITrix.html I know The Kite Shoppe carries it, not sure who else.
  6. Not even going to reply... lol
  7. You'll want to point lady luck toward 1072. Thank you!
  8. I'm not sure that we need to over-define any of this... Just having the discussion here is probably enough, it needs to evolve from drawing to drawing anyway.
  9. For those who may be waiting for their numbers... 138 (renewed) - PJD 601 (renewed) - WolfCoug 781 (renewed) - cyclic 812 (renewed) - davros 1115 - raminash 1116 - Marshall Placid 1117 - invertman Thanks all, enjoy the Kite Life!
  10. Nope... And even so, it can still be something a kiteflier could really use. Sunglasses (certificates are good for this due to individual styles), outdoor gear, ground stakes, kite bags, wind meter, And items can be used of course, they don't have to be new - just openly disclosed and in good enough shape to enjoy.
  11. Hoping to see something unique, maybe handmade, even non kite-related sometime soon... I'd love to get in on the fun too!
  12. My ears tend to "chew" while I fly, so most stick-in ear buds fall out on me... iPhone is the only one that I don't have much of a problem with.
  13. Classic ‪‎freestyle‬ video featuring Andy Preston, Paul Latham, Carl Robertshaw and others flying the Stranger‬, ‪Psycho‬ and ‪Matrix‬ ‪kites‬ from ‪Flexifoil‬... Three parts:
  14. Thanks to Matt and MTP Studios for putting this online.
  15. Devin Cobleigh-Morrison showing off the new Aura from Sky Burner Kites. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQE0HiJwpyc
  16. I didn't see this in the recent forum posts, and I wanted to bring it back to the surface... With almost 1.4 MILLION views since January, this video has become the most watched kite-specific video on YouTube and is STILL exposing thousands of new people to indoor kiting every week - hats off to Spencer Watson (our Executive Editor here at KiteLife), Matt Cyphert (MTP Studios), the World Kite Museum and Northwest Sport Kite League for helping to make this happen, truly amazing. Best I can tell, this is now far and away the most-watched YouTube kite video of all time. So proud of Watty, he's already helping to lead us into the future.
  17. ROFL! It's all good - it was fun trying. Seriously though, I try to be a novice every time I fly, keeping the mind open. Psssst.... Nylon sucks, it's all about Polyester. <grin>
  18. ??
  19. ROFL - almost got my best side.
  20. I almost went bluetooth, but I'm just HORRIBLE at remembering to put stuff on a charger, except my phone.
  21. Click the "More Reply Options" button, bottom right of the quick reply box at the bottom of this page. Once there, just look for the "Attach Files" button. Photo away!
  22. I used to have Beats and all sorts of high end headphones, ear buds and over ear buds, but they kept breaking or dying in weather. The new iPhone headphones have been working pretty well for me, or over ear Sony cheapies.
  23. Thanks, John.Where did I post this ? I thought I did put it in the off-topic... There's off topic (kites), and then WAY down at the bottom, really off topic. lol
  24. Converting a dual line kite from STD to SUL can be a bit tricky, usually takes some actual conversion (bridle, specs) to make it work, doable though! Main issue, sadly, is just that there isn't much of a market for an SUL Kymera - makes it tough to look as mass production. I'd make something in-house, but I just don't have the time, space or mental bandwidth at this point. Sorry guys, but I am feeling the love!
  25. Quad or Dual? Maybe one of these?
