I'll miss being at Whidbey this year.....and Gettysburg too! Too many projects going on here Penny, the good news is, when you come for Camas, I'll have the hot tub in the back yard by then It's supposed to be delivered on the 24th When I try to add events to the calendar, I still get an error message. I can't imagine who told you that! Was it someone from NWSKL? You would have needed to register with NWSKL. Not the WSIKF folks in the tent. Don is correct, pre-registration is VERY helpful for the WSIKF event. And the form was up, before the scorekeepers went to the previous event in Ocean Shores. I was the one in the tent, having to hand write and figure the late entries and collect the fees before the pilot meeting. Bud should have the reg form up real soon. If you are on the NWSKL e-mail list, you will be notified as soon as Bud has it on-line. Early and pre-registration is VERY HELPFUL for the event organizers! Thanks!!! T

There should be a ferrule, so the two ends can be joined where they meet inside the leading egde pocket. In 'most' kites, it would be a solid .240 x 4" carbon, glued 2" into the upper leading edge tube. But I seem to remember something funky the last time I tore into one of those. Your ferrule may have come unglued and slipped. You may be able to remove the upper leading edge and 'plunge' a smaller diameter stick thru it, and force the ferrule out and re glue it. Good luck! Alan...lots going on here! Where have you been?! There was lots of flying going on this past weekend in Lincoln City. Octopile record set at 21 in the sky, plus non stop demos front and center. And right now I'm packing bags, kites, car....to head out to Seaside tomorrow for 4 days of flying. I have to miss Westport this year ......hope to see you at WSIKF???? Have fun flying!!! T
