  1. Hi D! Darn...we're there this weekend! Have fun! Theresa
  2. Got it today! See you next week! T
  3. I know what you mean! I have it on my calendar: http://thekiteshoppe.com/forum/index.php?a...;m=3&y=2008 and will be heading there Friday morning! I've had some requests to bring 'stuff', so if anybody is needing anything, please let me know by at least Wednesday. See you all there! This is going to be fun! T
  4. Well done Wen! I'm so glad I got to see you fly your 'new' Rev indoor! Scotty and Wen should share the story of how this came to be I can only add to the tail end of the story. I handed the kite(s) to Albert January 10th while he was here and he carried them home to Wen in Taiwan. So Wen has been flying his 'new' kite for less than a month! Wow! (hi mom!) T
  5. Penny, send me your phone number, and I'll have Lam call you! T (Tia?) LOL!
  6. Beautiful pictures on our home field! Thank you for sharing them Bell! In the first photo, between Bazz and Todd, you can see a grain elevator across the river in the distance. Just about 2 miles north and west of that, a tornado touched down, very rare for our area, at 12:30 in the afternoon. What time were you guys out there flying? noonish? T
  7. Hi! Thanks for worrying about me! Been sick with a bug, been almost 2 weeks down now! GRRRRRRRR!!!!! I hate being sick! Sent you an e-mail Derek. T
  8. The name of that part is an APA .312 stand off connector. I have them in stock. Kiteshop...I looked at your website, did a search for the item, but got no result. Would like a pict of them, then I'll have to convert to American currency. The other nite, I did fashion some standoffs from some old rubber tubing I had around. Had some spare spars I cut too. Haven't had enuf wind to try it yet. I had my Rev II right next to my Rev I as I was building the system. I do like your standoff sticks on your website. How tall are they ? Thanks Here's a link to the manufacturer's web page that shows the APA fittings, last one at the bottom of page 3: http://www.aviasport.net/catalog/accesories/parts3.htm I have all their parts in stock.
  9. Hi Penny! Monks called yesterday to say he'd be here Friday night, probably meet up with us at the gym. And yes, Tristan is registered to fly! Hope you can make it too! Hugs, T

  13. Hi Spence! Wish you could make it for the Camas Indoor! We have lots of fun! If at all possible to get here, bring your sleeping bag and we'll have floor space for you. As for starting an event at your own local schools, check with the school clubs too. The Camas High School Chapter of the FCCLA graciously co-ordinates with the school to let us use the gym for free, and they do the consession/food sales for a fund raiser during the event. We encourage everybody to bring their appetite! And don't forget January in Long Beach! Jan 18, 19, 20th at the Elementary school. Same place we were at during WSIKF. T
  14. And don't forget the Camas Indoor either! http://nwskl.org/camas.htm and some more info here: http://www.thekiteshoppe.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1785 T
  15. Hello and Welcome! I have not been to the high school in Tigard, but if they have enough room for ballons, there must be room for kites? http://www.tigardballoon.org/ As for Delta Park, it's not available till after Nov 6th. A construction training class is using the field. Let us know where you find a place to fly! Theresa
  16. Wow! Thanks for the pictures! I really missed being there this year! I'm so glad you had a great time. And lots of fun too T
  17. Adam, I e-mailed you on Aug 13th and told you the B Series is sold as a Package only.
  18. Do you know why there is a petition at Elmers? It did not say what is going on at D. park. Heard anything about it being converted over to a ball park or something? Old Jonie Mitchell song....pave Paradise, put up a parking lot....... the jest of it is.....according to the PIR Manager.......an additional track is being planned. They plan to have a track that they can rent out to oganizations such as police departments, county and sheriff departments to practice speed control and saftey in high speed chase situations. This idea has been in the works a LONG LONG time. Nothing has happened, as they do not have funding to build the track. If they find the funding, then it looks like we loose the field. Theresa
  19. VIP... even for someone that's not overly fond of white sail designs, that sure is purdy. Sam Yep! VIP - Vented Indoor Performer by Lam
  20. Yes! Congratulations Tristan! Nice pin Ron! Now....who can guess the name of the kite Tristan is flying?
  21. Very nice! What's your wing span? That's great that you can make your fittings! Sure helps for when you need an odd shape connector. I'm guessing they are some sort of injection molding? Good luck on you first flight!
  22. Ken, Have you ever been to the World Kite Museum in Long Beach? They have quite a selection of books for sale in the gift shop. It's well worth the trip if you have not visited there yet. Another suggestion....stop by The Kite Shoppe sometime and just spend some time watching Lam sew. Theresa
  23. We hope to get there early Friday afternoon. See you at 'D' River! T
