Hi, I have a pretty nice older Chicago fire kites "Fire Bee" kite. Comes with sleeve and kite. This kite has been flown, it is in pretty good shape for its age. I noticed that the sail behind the upper spreader is thinner (not broken though) and one of the stand offs is frayed but still functional. Great colors, good rods (other than stand off as mentioned), sleeve has some staining, nose in great shape. All in all nice older kite. Here is some info on the kite.
The original Chicago Fire Bee was designed by Eric Wolff and Frank Fieseler in 1988. It was a more dynamic kite than the Fire Dart, and extended the wind range even further. This unmistakeable design was very popular, and pleased crowds when the Chicago Fire would fly them in stacks.
The production version of the Bee (above, left) was the first mass produced sport kite with a graphite frame. Previous sport kites all used fiberglass or aluminum frames. It was the Kite Trade Association's best new kite product in 1991, and was used by the Chicago Fire in their 3rd place finish at World Cup I in 1990.
