I love my REv. on short lines, but I like the UFO for that quick fix satisfaction. I've managed to not feel well.. thus staying home every night this week. heheh Steve finally busted me out in the front yard with the UFO. Lucky for me he's a forgiving sort of guy. I'd like the ease of a fighter, but the UFO is offereing me what I really want. Wind, or no wind.. lots of challenge and still fun. BB Penny

Hey, Actual wind.. I don't know what the wind range is on it ... yet. I haven't even read the flyer.. but it is kewl... and I've seen it flying in good wind quaded... Don't expect miracles.. next year I hope to have a little control...the next year, it will start to look better.. after that... I hope to get good at it. Wind or no wind. And just ask anyone.. I am not a natural. I can't fly just anything. Those dual lines.. they are a little squirrely.. or maybe it's me. Ahhhhh.... I wish we could rewind last week at Long Beach and do it again. BB Penny

Hey Monkey, There is a perk to having to come home and go to work. I remember being at Long Beach all week and being so tired I couldn't walk down to the end of my lines to meet some kewl flyer standing there. And the new flyers coming in on Fri. all fresh and rested... hey... that's going to be me! See you tonight. I'll pop by for a minute. Lots of friends coming in town, and we've got fireworks. Era, my daughter, and the kids are coming down tomorrow! Yeah! See you tonight. BB Penny

Physically, I don't leave for Long Beach again till 5PM tomorrow night. Mentally, I'm still there from Monday and Tuesday! Woo Hoo... Awesome, Awsome.. The most laid back, fun festival and it's an International. which means we meet people from around the USA and Japan, and Thailand, and all over. Each year many of them return and I go looking for those smiling faces. Save me some sky! BB Penny

Woo Hoo.... Long Beach is awesome this year. I had to come home, but I'll be back Friday evening. Love,,, I said LOVE ... the new UFO. I was so excited to be getting one, then we found out they are marketing it as a single line. lol We were so bummed we didn't even want to take it out of the package. We finally did and it's great. It can be launched from either direction, has a great spin capability and is very manuverable. Now I still can't wait to quad it! We Crazy ladies of Kite flying took many 1st places. We even took Best in Show! How.. We had our banner poles out with spinners and socks and we performed maneuvers. Ever see 6 woman pole dancing? lol Well, it was good enogh for best of show. How much fun is pun fun?! Extreme! We, Jessie, Christian and I took 3rd in the Rock battle. The credit goes to Christian, though it might be interesting to see him and Jessie compete against each other. I took a day and buggied in Seaside.. woo hoo.. misty, scary but fun run. Enjoyed barbequed clams with Eli Anderson friends and family. Stopped in Westport on the way down. It was great to see some friends and visit. So now it's back to reality.. work... and then L.B. for the weekend. Where we will be in the lesson field. See you there!! BB Penny

I've discovered each airlines has their own sports equipment rule, so work that angle carefully. Be sure when you check them in to ask them to put fragile stickers on the bag. Be ready to pick them up at "odd shape" pick up. We missed a connecting flight as we waited and waited for bags that were on the ground behind us. Don't pack them over your weight limit, cause if someone at the airport is in a bad mood they may take it out on you. Soft ball players laugh at me when they see me in my rasberry helmet in a field of tall grass buggying pretty slowly. They wouldn't laugh if they saw me going faster and witness a face plant. Ouch!! Thank goodness for helmets. BB Penny

Tails on Rev.'s are even better then duals. You can wiggle the kite back and forth, or up and down any size and get the effect on the tail. The speed control and reverse add such a dimension to tails. You do have to be careful of wing wraps, but it's not that hard. BB Penny
