where i live i have both beach and inland but that doesnt mean we dont have bad days with no wind or gusty winds storms travel therugh here alot makeing the weather a mess

i agree penny passion is what has keot my flying since the first time ive flown a kite back in 1987 to me when im flying its always been a feeling i could never explain but to the guys and girls of the kite flying world would know that feeling!!! i never want to stop flying in fact i want to spread my talents dowan to my son who i hope 1 day will be my partner in my flying world

ive flown my 3d indoors and it is a hard kite to keep up but does do tricks well im still learning indoor flying and im so fsr doing well with my 3d

i too had a night like this it was not long ago i was at a field on a highway near my house my wife went out with her girlfriends i got boerd and i went downstairs and looked at my rev 1.5 an thought how it would it look at night flying with lights it took a while but i rigged a light kit across the leading edge that can be seen from a good distance as the night progressed i got the setup done and headed to the field i heard the traffic moveing along as i got there and as i set up i was ready to take a new challenge as i launched my kite i was in awe it was the wildest looking thing ive ever seen and i heard honks from car horns on the highway by the field i was flying on it totaly made me forget about life for a while and at that time i was lost from realalty i felt like i was in a world noone but night filers knew it was like nothing i could ever amagine anything and everything bad that ever happend to me was lost for that short time and i dont know why but night or day whenever i fly kites its the only way i can FIND MYSELF because in the real world people look at me as someone that is a freak for being a grown man that flies kites but i never cared what people thought ive flown kites since 1987 and my passion shall live on so UNTIL THE DAY I DIE I WILL ALWAYS FLY to me i rhink that makes me a soul flier!!!!!!!!!!

i rember the quadrifoils a good contolable kite in the 80s they were popular here if he makes a kite like that ill get 1 in a minute

the desire is a good kite for low wind but its very slow i like the 3d for no wind outside or indoor flying i have a flashlight and i think on 30 foot lines it flies great i also have a sheva sul that is good for light wind trick flying you might want to try getting into quad lines as well it will give you a chance to have both types on the still air days

nice pic monkey as for the 40 mph wind question thats a high wind a vented 1.5 or vented supersonic would be a good choise. guideworks also makes a heavy wind deca but i dont know if it will handle 40 mph

i love my blast and shockwave i want to get a vented super sonic as for pull both will geve you tons in good winds if you really want a fight the power blast is a great kite

that plane is cool that has to be 1 hell of a flier anyway the rev 1.5 or the rev 1 are both good choises

prizm makes a quantom pro SUL that is a great freestiler its got a gentle pull and is eazy to trick i have a sheva sul thats a nice flier in 2 mph winds that kite will run you about $200 hq makes a shadow thats good for a 2 to 6 mph wind i also hav a prizm 3d and vapor that both fly in still air and indoors i espically like the vapor its not a fast tricky kite but it will cure the flying fix on a slow day

the best way i found to untangle lines is to follow the knot meaning in every tangle has a route at first it will be hard to find but after a few minutes youll see it and as long as the knot isnt to tight it should help get everything loose

the 1.5 sul is nice but in heavier winds you wont be able to fly it the 1.5 sle with a backup 2 wrap sparset will give you a 2 in 1 kite

i got a set of 25 footers ive flown my 1.5 with i wonder too if they would work on a blast i dont know because the blast is so big

i have a blast and love it its good for power in heavy winds and will even fly in light winds its 2 kites in 1
