RobB Posted January 21, 2015 Report Posted January 21, 2015 Hey All,Sorry to keep all you Karma fans waiting, I've been having a hard time deciding what to offer up for the next Karma drawing... should it be a Prism Speed Bag or a Dual Line kite ? How about both ? I've got a silver speed bag that has really only been used for storage, it's not new, but got tons of life in it. It's been used to store a group of favorite SUL duallies. One of the duallies I found in there is a Sky Sails Delphi mk II UL, a custom design that was made to emulate a Hawaiian Team kite in panel design. It is a nice kite that will get you flying in pretty low winds. It will do some tricks, too, if you're so inclined, but is prefectly happy just cruising around the sky, too. I need to take a picture of the bag, but I'm sure you all know what they look like, and that they can be used to hold 6+ dual line kites, or a bunch of quads, SLKs, or a combination.Below is a picture of the Delphi...Drawing date, Feb. 1st, 2015 (Drawing will be done using the RNG. Entry post shall begin with "I'm in")Good luck ! The winner of the drawing is expected to pay it forward by offering their own prize for the next drawing. Please do not enter unless you are willing to offer your own prize, preferably not the prize you just won. Drawings should be open for entry approximately 2 weeks, and the next drawing should be posted as soon as possible to keep the Karma rolling. These drawings are run by and for KiteLife members. The moderating team only ensures that your drawing post contains all of the pertinent information (drawing date/time, adequate prize description, drawing rules) before approval. If you are a KiteLife member from the US or Canada, you are eligible to enter. You do not have to be a paid subscriber. Members from Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii are welcome to enter the Karma drawings provided they are willing to pay half of the Karma prize shipping cost. The method and timing of the payment will be agreed upon between the two parties after the drawing for a particular prize. Here is the link to the original Rules and Guidelines thread: http://kitelife.com/forum/topic/5426-rules-and-guidelines-please-read/ The mechanism for the drawing itself is entirely at the discretion of the person offering the prize. In the past, entry number has been determined either by order of entry or by the post number in which the member declares entry into the drawing. The drawings have been performed using the RNG method (http://www.random.org/sequences/) or by choosing the numbers out of a hat (I believe an adorable daughter did the picking in that scenario). The only requirement is that the method of selection is clearly spelled out in the drawing post.Entry into the drawings is done by STARTING a post in the drawing thread with the entry phrase chosen by the drawing host (Traditionally "I'm in", but "I LIKE" has been used as well). In order to remove any confusion or misinterpretation, only entries with posts that START with the phrase will be considered. As with all other KiteLife drawings, bantering is encouraged. This is for fun after all. 4
RevRookie Posted January 21, 2015 Report Posted January 21, 2015 I'm in - more for the bag than another dualie, but if the RNG favours me.... Yahoo!!! 2

Tmadz Posted January 21, 2015 Report Posted January 21, 2015 I'm in. Has a Frank Lloyd Wright prairie style feel to it. Would be nice in the flatlands. 1
pickensw Posted January 21, 2015 Report Posted January 21, 2015 I'm In. As the collection is growing I could use some transport storage. Still need to find something to put that Hyper-Kite stack in! 1

RobB Posted January 22, 2015 Author Report Posted January 22, 2015 I'm in. Has a Frank Lloyd Wright prairie style feel to it. Would be nice in the flatlands. Yeah, I got this kite mostly because I liked the way it looked. It was one of four that were made, and the writing on the tail says it's an SUL, not an UL. It's framed in 2pt sticks, I suspect the wind range is ~1mph to maybe 8mph. It's crispy new, I only flew it once. 1
