  1. Just use 30 footers when there's lightning...
  2. Hey JB if my number comes up, redraw it. I think 5 is enough 1.5 full sails...
  3. Happy to swap your Zen with my Indoor.... Just throwing it out there ;-)
  4. You're Rev 1.5 Std will go to zero with a little technique and by changing your attachments. For SUL winds on a Rev I attach my lines to little pigtails on the verts, like the Indoor. Race rods on a 1.5 will take you to zero. I do admit that I use the bridle and muscle it if the wind is gusty. Or I'll fly my Indoor, outside. That you don't want to take above 2mph (maybe 4 if you are on your toes...)
  5. Zzzzzzzzzz I'm just eating some 3 layer cheese cake while I wait. Sugar RUSH!!!!!!!
  6. Going on the current conditions I've been flying in, I would have to do a HEAP-O-RUNNING to fly this one... I'll still have it of course!
  7. There's a review on the Symphony Beach 1.3 in the kite reviews..... yep, I did it. It really depends on what you want. Can't go past it for dollar for dollar entertainment.
  8. Sharing the passion with the kids is truly pure fun!
  9. Is that the camera just hanging off like laundry?! I always thought they had to be rigged to the bridle. Or at least the POA! That is giving me ideas...
  10. And you gotta love the face on Lam's birds!
  11. Yes, radical is what I am chasing....
  12. Rev don't make the 1.5SUL any more so you may have to look for "remaining stock". Or get a B Pro made to SUL. Some of the SUL's out there have only a lighter LE pocket and the Spectre bridle and the sail is just normal Icarex. A printed, one piece sail could be an alternative. They fly L O W and still have the 1.5 characteristics. I got a Diamond frame, magic sticks and a French bridle for my SUL as a Zen is still a way off for me. Too many duallies to get...
  13. I wouldn't have even thought about getting out one of my quad line kites in this kind of wind. I love flying in light wind, and wish I had a quad that could. A Std Rev or SUL will fly in that with some work. Still have to have a suitable frame. Diamond or Black Race would work. Great exercise... Low wind is low wind. Hell, in 1mph of smooth wind I'd fly my Indoor Rev as well!
  14. For all out tricking you can't do much better than a Superfly from Benson Kites. Don't think it would be any good for precision though. Different animal. For precision I thought the Nirvana from R-sky was the one all are now measured against. There are a few that are good at both but it seems to be a compromise.
  15. Wow! My SLE and EXP have the flattish white bridle but my B's and B2 have the round grey bridle.
  16. I've checked my B2, the bridle is the same size as my 1.5B's.
  17. The voltage rating on a capacitor is the MAX operating voltage. So long as the cap is rated higher than operating you're good to go. The only real consideration is the uF. Usually the higher the voltage rating the higher the cost.
  18. The indoor crowd prefers to fly in nothing! Some of the outdoor crew love to fly in nothing too...
  19. It's a big kite! Unbroken LE it's is long. Needs a good breeze to fly. It's the first Vtd I've tried and generates a decent amount of pull. Finish is good but check the sail to standoff connectors as they are a little plasticy and are prone to come off in storage. Flies nice. Fade is surprisingly easy. I don't click with it (yet...) but I'm only still learning. Great looking though, the red and black looks really menacing!
  20. Magic Sticks, Love 'em or not. Gets kiters talkin'. Just for the record, I've got sticks AND a frenchie WITH diamonds on my 1.5SUL and that combo ain't changing. I've also got just sticks on my B2 Std and I can't see me taking them off either. Doubt I'll be putting them on any others. I got them as a kit from Flying Smiles, I could've made them but I was just lazy.
