  2. Most of us leave them attached. I have 3 sets all attached to lines in my quad bag. Good luck and remember to have fun. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  3. Looks like it flys pretty well. Nice job. [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  4. I love the look of this one. I hope it flys well. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  5. I like the look of the bigger diamonds they should allow the kite to be flown in lighter winds. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  6. Nice job. I sure like the way it looks with the white leading edge and wear strips. I’m glad it flew in mid teens. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  7. Definitely look at the line management videos. I used to spend a lot of time untangling lines and was about to say F it and not mess with quads anymore. Watched JB’s videos several times and totally changed the way I roll up and roll out my lines. Not untangling them seemed strange at first but I haven’t had any issues after a little practice. 8. You flew your Ozone pretty well in Lincoln City when it was raining and very light wind [emoji100]. Not to mention it was blowing the wrong direction that day as well. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  9. The red one. Ok ok blue would be my choice out of these 2. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app

  12. I’ve had 2 issues with my Fulcrum. 1st one my son was flying it in 5mph wind. He was backing it down from the top of the window and the center section of the light wind frame snapped putting a hole in the kite. Most likely a gust hit the kite that over loaded the frame causing it to snap. 2nd issue was my error in disassembling the kite. While pulling out the “leading edge” I broke one of the inner upright spars. Make sure you hold them firmly when pulling the leading edge out. My Fulcrum was one of the first ones sold and they switched to a stronger tube to reduce the risk of this happening. When I ordered the part from Kites and Fun Things they sent me 2 so I could change the other one out too. Fun kite to fly have fun. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app

  15. Thanks for the update John. Can’t wait to see my custom set of Djinns. After flying yours in Long Beach I know the wait is well worth it. Besides it’s raining and no wind the last few day. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  16. Had a coach tell me the same thing once. The B2 might be hard to find I have a Standard one and it doesn’t get let out of the bag much. I enjoy flying it but in medium or high wind the mid to full vent will be better in the long run. You’ll be amazed how much smoother the vented kites are in bumpy inland wind. I’ve got a few different options your welcome to try if your ever in the Coos Bay Area. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app

  18. Love it Breezin! I’ve learned a lot flying the Pro Dancer. My son Jack did his first and second performance at a festival a couple weeks ago using his Pro Dancer. Light rain and light wind he did an excellent job. One time he was using my 50lb 50 foot strings and asked if I had shorter ones. I said no and he looked disappointed and continued flying. I pulled out a spool of 50lb and made him a set of 30 footers. Now the 30’s are his first choice with the Pro Dancer. Too short for my flying style. He’s gotten really good at slides and tip stabs with the short lines. He’s only broken one lower leading edge piece and knows I’ve bought way to many extra spars just to have them sitting around. Another kite I really enjoy in 2 ish wind is the Solus UL. I’m pretty sure your name is already on the list if they are produced again. May the inland winds be at your back. 19. Welcome to the forum and to the dark side. The first time I saw a quad line kite was also in Lincoln City about 5 years ago. Back then I lived in Colorado and only flew a few times at most a year. Now my family lives in Coos Bay and we fly almost every weekend. My son did his first performance at this years Lincoln City Fall Festival with a duel line kite. If your ever in the area we are always looking for people to fly with and will be attending both festivals at Lincoln City next year. I hope you keep having those “ a Haw” moments. Have fun. 20. One other option is the 3wind quad kites that are sold thru The Kite Shoppe. You can customize your colors using kite paint.com and they are relatively low priced. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app

    Low Wind

I would agree I have one in my kite bag pretty good flyer in low wind. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  23. I have two kites that need stitching repaired and a kite bag that’s getting tired of being overloaded and needs a couple seems repaired. My question is when sewing seems on kites do I need to use a specific thread or use the all purpose thread? I just bought a sewing machine and some all purpose thread to practice with. I started using the machine tonight and will practice on rags and such before I repair my two kites. And recommendations to a new sewing machine user will be greatly appreciated. 24. Both my Kymera and Hydra were really tight. I had to slide the loop closer to the nock before I attached the line thru the nock. Haven’t flown the Hydra much yet but my Kymera is pretty tight and I store it in the bag with tension on the wing tips. Still flys great just saves me from fighting it every time I fly it. 25. I tell what was really cool [emoji41] at the clinic John was calling tricks out and Paul did one after another for several minutes. A couple times Paul said no, and then did the tricks anyways. I hope they put on another duel line clinic next year so I can take my boy again. We learned a ton and continue to improve now. Breezin maybe with the Mind Trick you would have a chance but only if they were flying with kites made of trash bags and coat hangers. We would love to see you show up and one of the clinics or a festival here in the PNW Pacific Northwest. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
