The next NWSKL Competition Event will be at Seaside, Oregon, Sept 9th and 10th 2006. And of course....iQuad will be there in full force! Come on out and watch the Competition! I'm hoping to get there the evening of the 8th and have a full day Friday to play on the beach Also, any one up for an 'open house' gathering Friday evening, 7pm, unit #2239 in the WorldMark condo building? Exactly...it's not uncommon to have some stretch. Sad to say, most factory sets that come with kites, are 2" to 3" off right out of the bag. I've found Laser Pro Gold and Climax to have the least amount of variance. When I custom make a set, I always try to 'pull' out as much as possible. However, an adjustment and check on length (gear maintenance ) should be made after flying a couple times. When John says I need a set of so and so by so and so, I try to get it to him earlier, so he has a chance to fly on it before going into the comp field with it. Don't want any 'surprises' there! Heavy hand, or at least firm quick inputs for indoor. The kite is solid and can take being wacked around vigorously. I have seen cuts on John's fingers from the finger loops, after a good, exhilerating demonstration of multiple combos. I pack band aids in my 'to go' bag now..... T

Dini and ITrix are awesome too. I didn't mention them, as the Dini is best for indoor...and you mentioned outdoor. The ITrix would not necessarily be a beginner kite. Has great cross over abilities....indoor and/or outdoor. It is a trick machine...thus the name that Daniel gave it. John can Comete it over and over again indoor on 10' lines! It can certainly take some aggressive inputs as well, and is up the the challenge of being slapped around over and over again. There's some video somewhere here that John has posted for the VIP. Maybe it's in the subscriber section, I can't remember. Or on Lam's site Sky Sport Design. And as Dennis said, the Amazing is a great indoor kite as well. Full size kite, good cross over for indoor or outdoor. Oh, and the Wren....is a Wren is a Wren....Indoor Wren is a Wren.... Sorry! Theresa

Theresa? Tell me more please. First I've heard of this option. BB Penny John's idea? Spotting in Boston for him, Scotty Weider and I go out on the field with extra tubes sticking out of our back pockets. LOL! Basically, just put your 3 tubes in the leading edge with the end caps on. If the wind is more than that can take, just slip in another row of 3. No end caps to anchor them, they're snug enough to stay put. Now, getting them out again, in less than 45 seconds......well, let's just say we managed T

Do you have the large diameter tubes in your kite? You could go to the smaller diameter 2 wrap tubes for light wind. Most flyers try to build up a selection of tubes to switch out depending on the wind. The best selection to have in your 'go to' bag are 5 of each 2 wrap, 3 wrap and 4 wrap. Gives you lots of options that way. You can also 'double load' the leading edge with 2 rows of tubes, if you use the smaller diameters. Expands your options even more. Theresa
