Hey Amy, You heard how I did it? Paid Era, my daughter $5 an hour to pick it up for me and take my abuse... it wasn't personal. She got at least $45 from me to start with. Have someone at the end of the line. Connor looks like he'd be good at it. You'll get it. Everytime you go back it will be a little eaier. Wish I could be there to help, or laugh or something. After practicing last night I remembered what I don't llike about flying at the theatre is the small space. I'm probably using abuot 13 ft. of line on the rev. and that won't do there! ughhhhh Flyijng on 8-10 ft. is just not as pretty. Oh.. note to myself... "And I won't forget the men who died, who gave their lives for me-and I'd gladly stand up" Drop kite edge back.. 3 steps forward.. pull bottom lines into hand.. Look to the sky.. Throw kite. Something I thought of after I put the kite away.. So back to the gym to put it into timing and see if I can do it right 9 out of 10 times. Steve said don't.. but sometimes it's all about the difficulty. Yup.. make the difficult look easy. or crash and burn. BB Penny..

Indoor... Tryouts for the City Talent show in 9 days! I hadn't flown in about 2 weeks. Nice rest.. now I'm over it. After flying last night I looked around and said what can I do? Say.... It may not be to late to sign up for the talent show tryouts! So I did... and I will... but don't mention "break a leg" quite yet. Still have to make it thru tryouts. Wonderful getting into the gym last night. I forgot why I was resting.. oh yeah... weekends full of kites! I was tired...Now I'm rested.. flown and exhilerated. It's so wonderful to Fly!! Oh, had to pick up some pirate costume pieces last night, that were just to cute to pass up. (And they looked Penny proof for packing and wear and tear) Now I've got to find some music.. Like.. "It's a Pirates Life for Me!" Oh... Aiyana.... Aiyana...... ever heard of that song? (She finds songs wonderfully!) Have a great day! BB Penny

Woo Hoo. It's an awesome basket. Lots of goodies! A perfect day at the beach. Minus suntan lotion. I ran out of $. But It's got a wonderful outdoor portable cd player. A dual line and an AKA single line. Lots of kewl stuff.. Now, I have about 1 day left to put together a calendar of local events for 2005. (or should I add some big festivals?). yeah, I guess I should.... Also, a list of web pages to go find out more about kites. Aka, Kitelife, etc. Oh, and should I list kite stores in WA? I'm open to input here.. tks! having fun ~ rain or sun~ beach bound ~ woo hoo... so many thank you's to send. <_< No dvd's till I get the guys to run those copy's.. but Kent and Therea you are on my list! I don't think I refer to my kite as a she? I call it "my kite" It's more an extension of myself, not just a dance partner. BB Penny

I'm not a performing clown Prog... just a kite flyer, but oh my goodness... when I dress in costume the clowns come out of the woodwork! I've collected some very entertaining clown cards over the years out of the kiting field! It's nice to get feedback from them. They like what I'm doing. To True.. Wouldn't that go for music too? Because thatis something else that needs to be monitored..for the masses. A must do. but censorship... So should art be censored in kites? Should music? ( I vote yes, after flying in a demo field to "I want to be your boy toy".... That must have been the name of it, they were just about the only words.. playing over and over again) Should we have some polls? BB Penny

I'm not much help in the two string side, but still have to put my two cents in. Line Theory ~ High Wind = Longer line... or smaller Kite Lighter Wind = shorter line=less line lag, quicker response. Quad wind flying can be anywhere from 50-200 ft. With the norm anywhere from 65 -100 ft. So there is no absolute. I can see a point from those people who say kites should all be on the same line length, (and same kite?) in competition. Though I don't want the sport stymied so myself, it is debatable. Ok, I'll sneak out of here before I get tossed out. BB Penny

Hey Kent Yoo HOoooo We received the Icon. Thank you Thank you! Finchers AireForce is bringing us kite line, handles and a stake. We got the Polynesian Resort!!! 2 nights! This will be a wonderful "Day at the Beach" for some generous person. I'll get the picture when we get it put together. We checked out radio's chairs, etc. today. We're almost done! Thanks again! Awww come on Rick, you have such a vivid imagination you could put her in a potato sack and still get turned on. Keep in mind, kiteflying is a family event. Cleveage is good ~ color won't win the judges over. What's wrong with a few strategically placed shells... so then if the wind blows her hair.. surprise! You see nothing! Poor Rick. Tks Scott. I work next door to a recording studio I've used in the past, so I spent 1/2 hr. over there getting all my music tweaked this yr. Everything, but little tings enhanced, that I forgot. So I'll do that next time. Now it's time for next years routines. It's not bad enough I have to find music 2- 4 min. long (like I ever do) but I have to find something that with a costume makes a complete performance, tells a story or creates an emotion. I've been to the music wharehouse the last 3 days at lunch looking for music. Keep your ears open. I am always open to suggestions. BB Penny

Your awesome Kent! Thank you!!! I received the Prism DVD, Theresa!!! Wishing I had a dvd player at work to check it out. That was a wonderful idea! You all better wish me luck on presentation! If I don't come up with some creative basket that could be my big expense!! I bought a great big gold/prismatic w/stars bag for $1.
