  1. what kind of kites you have? all three sets seams to be dual lines IMO for 75-80$ i will throw them and buy new ones especially if you want to start fresh.new lines are much better than any you have
  2. is not 27 yet, give them the time they ask before you worry
  3. nah, the frame is the problem. is way to ridgid, is like you fly a piece of plywood. the only "belly" is on the sail by stretch not because the frame is flexing. that is making at the edge of window when the wind is catching the back of kite to flip the outside spare and bowtie. also because the frame is not stay flexed and fast respond (of the frame) to fly leading edge up is making the kite to start vibrate. i will try at one point to use a more flexible leading edge and see if the fly is improving, till then i do not recommend this kite not even like a novelty
  4. i made the change with a 1.5 bridle and maked some testes. almost no forward input. lift just on reverse or in really hard wind. guess what? i forgot to add 4 inch extension on the bottom bridle. more testing tomorrow
  5. you read my mind, this is what i did today but no different results. i will add end caps and modify a 1.5 bridle because spares are 40 inches and leading edge 80. kite is flying nice in middle of the window when the sail is full loaded but is becoming twitchy on the edges. Rev bridle i hope to keep the sail more "load" especially if is at the ends of the sail not in.
  6. i tried Mark, in any leaders setup is doing the same thing at the edge of the window. i think is because of the shape and from the bridle witch is not at the end of the spare, is somvere at 5-6 inches inside of the sail
  7. Hello, any advice for adjustments and modifications for this Drop Kick ? is having very bad reverse and at the edge of the window is bowtie no matter what i do. Thank you
  8. smaller is faster but also less pull and need a bit more wind to fly.
  9. that Jedi channeling was cool 😎!
  10. there are some quad flyers in Canada but i think they are closer to Toronto area. i will be at Niagara Fall in september 13-17 somewhere and if you willing to meet there i will give some of my knowledge. i do not know about 21st but is a kite festival on 14 July at Andrew Haydon Park, 3169 Carling Avenue, Napean, Ontario 11- 7
  11. Wayne is right, frustration is kicking fast when you struggle to keep the kite flying in low winds. already sayed 5-10 mph is great for learning the basics. when you will stop crashing because of wind stop, sudden shifting or a wrong maneuver and most important to don't back up without to recover the lost space then you may start to think at low winds and proper kite for
  12. at Wayne recommendation i will ad 2 options option 1 - any mid, full or extra vent sail will do. full vent with a light frame and 50# line will fly like a mid-vent using some footwork. 4-5 days per year you will need that extra-vent. option 2 - buy any full sail is cheap and make the vents yourself using a soldering iron on any pattern you desire how long you have the same percentage left-right of the sail
  13. i may bet the eBay seller was raa20011. is puting on sell with omissions on description Rev sails. if you do not pay attention you will buy a Rev (like on your situation) without bridle or without frame
  14. you buy it from eBay? Here are the Rev bridle http://www.awindofchange.com/product/rev-bridle.html
  15. nice evolution and if now you are at the first up knot you must to be more less wide move with the breacks. owercontrol make the kite to act like you described. to take of the second leading edge try to pull gently wirh the rods a bit flexed.that will make the ferule to have more friction in rods.
  16. i prefer SkyBond from 2 main reasons. Are Yellow and a bit beter to be seen when kite parked in public areas. Second reason,i feel like they are more slippery then LPG. if i find a deal i buy in bulk and made them miself but i buy pre-made usualy in 120
  17. welcome Little DAB, keep the wrists close to each other and elbos close to body at the beghining. wrist colse will help you to work brakes to turn from the handles (oposite to dual lines from arm mouvement) and elbos close to body will help you to reduce unnecesary arm mouvements and control better the handles
  18. you do not want to go there in US coding versus Europe. everything here is....let say British Empire right
  19. i live in US from some time now but i will put this in mi bucket list for next visit in the country
  20. nice, in Romania are also big archaeological remains of roman empire but i think nobody had the idea to fly a kite to take pictures
  21. i am probably blunt and blatant because is what i think and i share. i do not go on details when i explain i try just to make the people to comprehend the danger and for better understanding YES last year at one kite festival (is not important witch one) inside of performers area i was in path of a loose 4 fits delta kite with kevlar line with stake winder. i had at that point two quads and a dual line parked in around 15 mph wind and you guess what happened? i may be the biggest unlucky person but all three lines was cut. two lines for one quad, one line for the second quad and one line for dual. on top of that mi wife had a really nasty burn over the shoulder when the kevlar line past her. mi biggest concern was my wife and i forget about 200$ lost in lines. thank God they do not have lines glazed with glass. again i am sorry if i create a big dispute, i tried just to rise awareness " have fun, smile and breath "
  22. am onoarea K'Tesh i am happy you see mi point and trust me English is not hard at all comparing with Romanian (my native language how you already figure out ) or German or French, end because here everything is on writing i use the base of the words. if you will find my past posts you will find quotes when i want to use a different meaning ( or to quote somebody ) of the word and from what i know in writing is the only way to show a twist,I also know the content after a word create the meaning. i say what i know and i write what i think without to try to offend ore to create acidity so i am glad if we may agree and shake the hands.any resentment from mi side cu deosebita stima Edmond P.S. am onoarea is also used like i respect you, is a privilege (to speak or to meet) you and couple more. cu deosebita stima is all the above plus a great deal of honor. Romanian is one of the oldest still living language (direct from Latin base) of the world and in vocabulary are included words from other old languages ( Germanic, Slavic, Turkish, Greek, Tamil ) and new ones during of the past 2000 years. i tell you this to understand better the complexity and choice of word use from my side. Multumesc
  23. for the ones who do not know about i am taking here is the link
  24. remember your latest remarks about kevlar lines? remember your" non negative" "THINK WHATEVER YOU WANT" after i wish you good luck ? i write KARMA with a single thing in mind, karma.if that is negativity i take responsibility of but on the same time i am sorry for your loss and i post already in the past mi feeling about other fliers loss. Yes i am not an native English speaker and also i have deep European education where an advice is taken with a THANK YOU and is your business how you act after. like an European i said KARMA just to show you dear teacher how fast some things may happen and how all of us may need to pay a bit more attention even at using the choice of words. happy for you to get the kite back. P.S. for non native English speakers this is the meaning i find explained Whatever is a slang term meaning "whatever you say" , "I don't care what you say" or "what will be will be". The term is used either to dismiss a previous statement and express indifference or in affirmation of a previous statement as "whatever will be will be".[1] An interjection of "whatever" can be considered offensive and impolite or it can be considered affirming. In the late 20th century and early 21st century, the word became a sentence in its own right; in effect an interjection, often but not always, used as a passive-aggressive conversational blocking tool, leaving the responder without a convincing retort.[2]
