First off.. let me say I think this is a great thread. Enjoyed reading about everyone's first adventures. Mine was a large yellow inflated **puffer kite** You had to blow it up like a giant floatation device lol. I was flying it in my neihborhood and I hit the end of the 500 feet of cheap line... when it came right off the winder.... My friends and I ran after it thinkin we could catch it...but it was never to be seen again .... it was the first time I had ever flown it.. and the last lol

Hugs all.. I think there is something about putting your heart out on the end of the lines, and taking up so that everyone can see it... and it doesnt really matter who is looking.. at all. I know, that I have found myself at true lows..in my life.. and I will go out.. and put the heart up into the air... and let it all just.. out.... tears and all.. There have been a couple of times this summer, during comps.. when I have had to remind myself to keep it together, because my head has just gotten lost.. and the heart takes over.. man.. do i sound sappy... sheesh..

im with Mario... I started winding up my lines seperately.. and I am alot more apt to pull out a rev and fly now, because i dont have to untangle em each time.. and believe me .. it was each time... lol.... This works great now.. ya ya.. i know.. im a wimp.. but im dorky too so who cares.. hehee..

I have had the same problem.. not being around other flyers... you can really be held back.. but... even flying with one other person can help alot... John is probably wondering why I try to hit the beach on Friday afternoon before comps... it's because if I can get him to spend 5 or 10 minutes with me ... I have learned so much in that short amount of time, it's worth taking the friday off from work to get that.. hehe.. he teaches me a trick on friday.. and i tryyyyyyyy to throw it in my routine on Saturday.. doesn't always work, but its sure worth a try ... hugs John.. And dearest dorsal, Since I only wanted to make certain that some of the people that were interested in looking at the cam might see the link, by looking in different areas of the forum I saw no harm in it... I know that Monkey has video but I dont know of what yet. He left for Berck yesterday morning.. . All have arrived safely... thank goodness I would really like to get a copy of my demo *halfway up the stairs*. I showed my dad the Arlington dvd, and he was almost in tears watching all of you... he loves it. His words to me as I went out the door were... thank you for making my day.... I would pay for a copy of the show and the comps and demos.. whatever... anyone got it? It will be a while before Monkey can post his... hugs all. oh.. and NO WAY TATOR were you bossy lol you nut! I loved it.. had a blast.. and even when i dragged the poor wren across the floor at the end.... hehehe

It truly was a great fest.... You just cant beat the crowd that was there, let alone the flyers. I am just astounded at how supportive and wonderful everyone is. It's great to be around all of you. A big thanks to Lindsey for the greattttttttttt jellyfish. I cant wait to see the videos. Another big thanks to Deb and Lee Parks for all the planning they did, and all the help I got at the last minute** go get your kite Mouse!!!** hehe. I learned so much this past weekend. Like how to tie a mouse to my suspenders, how not to faint in front of anyone before ya compete.... and lots of other good things... lol.. hugs to all , Mousie
