  3. I was a "round the wrist" for a long time, now I'm finding results holding "3 fingers". Still feels a little foreign but working through it. Sent from my [device_name] using http://KiteLife mobile app
  4. Sticker shock can stop you from trying things. Kind of like being really careful with a car until you get the first ding.... Being relaxed is a big thing and can help with the unlocks. Don't forget, holes can be patched. In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  5. Really good to here about your journey. Breaking stuff is one of those things, nature of the beast. Good that you can grab another bird and have some time with it. Yes, changing kites will delay things BUT what you learn from one will help on the other. Other posts taken care of. In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  6. Woooo hoooo! Saddle me up partner! In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  7. Don't have a NikNak but have an iNak which is super close. Great kite. Well built and finished. I used it as my "no wind" dual. Good presence at the end of 20, 30 and 50 feet. Nice blend of tricks, precision and just flying around. If the NikNak is it's big bro, it will be a fun kite. Big welcome to KL. We are a big friendly bunch of enablers... 8. I have a few dual lengths but mostly fly at 100 feet. I use #50 and #90 in that length. I want a #150 set but have to make do for now. #90 X 100 feet would be my recommendation. As they wear, chop them down... In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  9. Deleted replicate post that didn't have pictures. Nice kites, good luck with sale. In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  10. 13's on all but one Rev in the 1.5 format. From B Std all the way to PoloVTD, 0 to 80km/h winds, 30 to 120 foot line sets. The exception is my street rev. 15's on that one. I have it set up to be very twitchy. It's only ever on 30 footers. In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  11. Nice kite. Tube tails are a lot of fun. Welcome to Kitelife. JB has been hooking them for a while. Have a look around. There is lots on here. Have you seen any of the tutorials? Gold they are. In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  12. Set up with the kite upside down. Trying to fly into the ground is the most stable and safe way. Blue kite is safe, red kite could launch. Put your handles so the kite has forward drive. In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  13. Building blocks, I was meaning the very basics. Setting up, breaking down, unwinding and winding up are so essential in keeping that new kite feeling positive. If you have troubles with these you are less likely to be open to just go fly. It can be over before you start. In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  14. Honestly, practice set up and break down. Practice unwinding and winding up. Building blocks. Just flying and getting comfortable with the "turn left" and "turn right" is good. Landings are good too. Not sure if said or implied but use a stake and set up inverted. In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  15. Great set. Someone will enjoy those. Might want to add a price or that you are open to reasonable offers. In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  16. Big congratulations. You will love this one. It's also great to use to teach as people are less concerned about breaking a "cheaper" kite. Fully capable. In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  17. Oh, this will go nice in my boys kite bag... In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  18. Sorry Wayne, not going to happen.... In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  19. " Sure- anything can be flown - but should it? Personally - there is no way I'm putting up a std in 20mph! " Quoted Put it on 30 feet... My Rev SLE has a factory rating with the 3 wrap of 20mph!! Infact I think it is 25... In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  20. Too late for a little trash talk. The RNG is sending this South, waaayyyy South. So it can stretch its wings in the summer breezes. Come to Oz. Come to Oz. 977 In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  21. Sorry to muddy the waters... Most full sails (non vented) will fly to 20mph. Dead centre of the window can be a worry but the outer edges are fine. Get a sail you like looking at. Also ask if people have a second hand kite they want to part with. Revs will fly even if the sail is quite "worn". Glad to hear you are getting into it. Keep seeking answers and advice. There will always be someone to help here. In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  22. Nose forward, angles the kite into the wind to give "extra" lift in lighter winds. Nose back puts the kite perpendicular to the wind. This reduces the drive from the wind and slows the kite. The tradeoff is the extra pull on the lines. I have a suite of duals so I don't adjust bridles much anymore. I change kites as the wind changes. I have them all set with nose back due to this makes the kite easier to stall and do tricks. In between Heaven and Earth, there are kites.
  23. They are all keeping quiet because they know that this bird is heading to Oz for the sweet summer breezes.. Sent from my SM-G950F using KiteLife mobile app
  24. Oooh, I like the white with red tips and lower spine. Sent from my SM-G950F using KiteLife mobile app
  25. QUOTE "Hmm was that an added feature on an sle from manufacturer, or was it personal, flying custom , feature . I had never seen that before" Originally a flyer made them. Them they were developed into a kit. Worth the postage I reckon. Sent from my SM-G950F using KiteLife mobile app
